I have owned traditional spring ones, and generally speaking a pain.
This sofa has a minal foot print as a double bed, and during the day a very comfortable sofa, the cover keeps it from getting fluff and crumbs etc down creases.
It is excellent value for money, as mine is used as an everyday bed at night to sleep on.
Easy to fold and unfold.
