Manufactured Seat IncorrectlyJoanneSeemed nice in store and on sale for $89.99-irresistible! Then we got it home...seat bottom was incorrectly manufactured! They drilled the holes and put the metal threaded inserts on 180 degrees incorrectly. This meant that the back would get attached with the front curved edge facing it (i.e. required seat to be assembled backward. Unfortunately they didn't make the metal ears symmetrical front to back on the pneumatics so couldn't even assemble the other way if I wanted to (which would preclude using armrests in the future as attachments would be at front instead of back). Forgot why I hate IKEA until now!! Usually missing parts and/or mfr errors with no recourse other than a long drive to store and back!1
Only good IKEA chairJacobI bought because good cushion on seat and back and fits my narrow desk. It has up/down, recline and will lock into reclined position. Lumbar is not aggressive. Arm rests are not in stock currently. Only chair at IKEA that has good foam in cushion.4
