It does the jobJoannaThe arm don't go up and down so if you need that for ego reasons, be aware. Easy to build, pretty sturdy and easy to adjust the lever to go up/down. The back doesn't lock but you can recline and once you sit up it springs back with you. Overall an okay chair for the price.
