Let’s pause for a moment at this new cabinet

SÅGMÄSTARE cabinet doesn’t just offer an ideal surface for a coffee and tea station. Its traditional look, turned legs and textured front add a lot of character despite requiring modest floor space. The mid-section takes care of clutter you want out of sight, while the space underneath easily fits a pair of braided baskets.

Behind closed doors – or maybe not?

In typical Swedish fashion, LEDAMOT cabinet is a bit of a compromise. That said, it’s one great compromise. The mix of closed and open storage gives you plenty of possibilities. Ample space for the things you want to hide and protect, and open surfaces for others to shine. You can even add lighting. Your choice!

Remember to anchor furniture to the wall

We all want our homes to be a safe place. Make sure you properly fasten all large and tall furniture with the included wall-attachment devices. This is to prevent it from tipping over. We can all use a little less to worry about.

Choosing the right storage cabinet for your space

When many of us first picture a display cabinet, we remember a traditional oversized style from our younger years. Perhaps it was an aunt’s elaborate cabinet display fashioned from heavy wood and glass, often dominating the dining room with its sheer size. Or maybe it was a smaller corner curio cabinet, with glass shelves precariously brimming with collectibles and figurines.

Now imagine stylish storage units with a sleek, modern profile that is also importantly much less heavy!

While many classic curios and vintage cabinet display units are indeed quite beautiful, most simply don’t fit our modern homes, needs and lifestyles. Unlike more traditional ornate designs that take up a ton of space and require frequent dusting, our display storage units are sturdy without being nearly immovable, with clean lines that make them easy to dust and wipe clean.

What is the difference between a storage cabinet and a display cabinet?

While the terms can be used interchangeably, many storage cabinets are designed primarily for functionality. You can add items like photo frames and decorative baskets on top to showcase some items, but the cabinet itself is typically solid, hiding away the contents. Storage cabinets can hold everything from important paperwork to out-of-season bedding.

Display cabinets are designed for more than just storage, but to also showcase your belongings as part of their purpose and design. In addition to giving your treasures a place to call home, the glass doors allow the contents to become part of your home decor.

Sturdy display storage units that don’t require a crane

If you’ve ever helped someone with many styles of older furniture move, chances are you still remember the stress, sweat and back pain. Just like other things that have evolved to meet changing times, wants and needs, the majority of furniture on the market today is significantly lighter in weight. This is accomplished in a number of ways, including the use of lighter, often modern materials, and through simpler design that doesn’t focus on decorative elements that can easily pack on pounds.

Remember that many of our grandparents lived in the same home or just a few homes throughout their entire lives. When they bought a piece of new furniture, it often stayed where it was placed forever—in part, because no one could lift it to move it.

Simply put, these aren’t your grandma’s glass door cabinets. But we do hope she’ll like them!
