Bathroom Storage CabinetKyle P.I bought this to use as a linen cabinet in my bathroom. It looks so expensive and holds a lot.5
furniture piece and color look good in my dinning roomSandra O.Furniture piece instructions are easy to follow. It feels solid, and it has a classic look5
Two of a kindGwen B.Bought 2 of these for display/storage for our new house. (Old hutch had NO wall to fit it...these fit perfectly besides the lower unit we also bought.5
Not white colorKen Z.The only complain from me is that the light beige is a bit dark, although the design looks pretty good.4
Looks fancy!Stefanie C.This looks much nicer in person. Love the color and the glass on the front and sides. Very spacious inside too. The only hiccup is installing the doors. I ended up buying new screws and that made the process much easier. However I still can’t get one of the glass doors aligned after hours of adjusting, reading and adjusting some more.4
Great cabinetMelissa D.Love this! Just the size needed and color is so pretty.5
It's perfect for the space.FlorenceIt's perfect for the space. Basically easy assembly until attaching the doors. Difficult and awkward to hold in the right space to screw into the frame. Otherwise very nice.5
Amazing quality and was byJohnAmazing quality and was by far the easiest IKEA item to put together.5
GorgeousCaitlinHands down the best quality item I’ve seen from IKEA. This was my Dad’s first ever purchase. Needless to say I think he’s hooked5
great pieceAjchariyaI actually got 2 of them. This piece is of excellent quality, heavy, and beautiful. LOve black color too.5
Glass hutchrickVery nice product, always amazed at the accuracy of hardware, instructions, drilled line and construction holes, fit and finish of product.5
lovely cabinetSylviaI waited 2 1/2 years to get this piece. It was always out of stock when I had the money. The upper section with glass doors and sides showcases my tea tins, teapots and other collectibles quite nicely. The lower section with solid doors fits an amazing number of cookbooks and liquor bottles. It arrived with some nicks -- not good! The doors with hinges were nearly impossible to attach. Other than the latter two comments, I'm quite happy with my purchase.4
Nice matching piece for ourSarahNice matching piece for our dining area.4
Overall GoodSteven S.It's nice like everyone says, I just have a couple notes for people that may find it helpful. Another reviewed on here that attaching the hinges to the side panels first AND THEN the doors to that was easier - I ended up doing that and it was fairly easy. May want a second hand though. Now attaching it to the wall..the 2 holes on the very top of the cabinet to attach it to the wall are 19 inches apart. Most homes studs I'd say are 16 inches apart, like mine were. Also, the brackets did not reach/touch my wall despite the hutch being pushed up against the wall (the baseboard trim thickness made it so it didn't touch). Not a big issue but something to keep in mind. Just drill 2 tiny, shallow holes at the appropriate space apartment and a bit closer towards the back of the top. For people complaining about gaps in the doors, the hinges have adjustment screws to tidy it up. It's no issue. Hope that helps.4
Absolutely Beautiful CabinetClaireI needed more pantry storage space in my kitchen and this cabinet hit the mark. Glass doors on top display my plates, bowls and glassware. Solid doors on the bottom allow me to store canned and dry goods. This piece is aesthetically beautiful and super solid. And, TaskRabbit did a terrific job putting the item together and securing it to the wall. Overall, I couldn’t be happier with this purchase5
No worth itELIASFrom the beginning the instructions are very bad, but very bad explaining how to ensemble, the cabinet doors are not strong enough and break very easy, you can see the gap between the window doors. Was not strong enough.2

Our take on wood

Wood is the material most commonly associated with IKEA furniture, and for good reasons. It’s renewable, recyclable, durable, ages beautifully and it is an important part of our Scandinavian design heritage. At IKEA, we believe that sourced in responsible way, wood is a key change driver for climate mitigation. In 2012, we set a goal that by 2020 our wood would be from more sustainable sources. We are happy to announce that we have reached this goal and today, more than 98% of the wood used for IKEA products is either FSC-certified or recycled.

Forests are critical for life on earth

Forests contribute to maintaining balance in the atmosphere, purify the air that we breathe and are part of the water cycle. They nourish wildlife biodiversity and provide homes for indigenous communities who depend on forests for their livelihoods. 90% of plant and animal species living on the planet need forests to survive. They provide sources of food, fuel, timber and many other ecosystem services that we rely upon. Sourcing approximately 19 million m3 of roundwood per year from some 50 countries, IKEA has a significant impact on the world’s forests and the timber industry and a huge responsibility to positively influence how wood is sourced. Responsible wood sourcing and forest management ensure that the needs of people dependent on forests are met, that businesses can work sustainably, that forest ecosystems are protected and biodiversity is enhanced.

100% wood from more sustainable sources

At IKEA, we work with strict industry standards to promote responsible forestry. We don’t allow any wood in our supply chain from forest areas that are illegal or contain high conservation values or from forest areas with social conflict. Before starting to work with IKEA, suppliers must demonstrate that they meet IKEA critical requirements on wood sourcing. IKEA requires all suppliers to source wood from more sustainable sources (FSC-certified or recycled wood). All suppliers are audited regularly and non-compliant suppliers are required to implement immediate corrective actions. By working together with our suppliers, we are proud to announce that we have reached our more sustainable sources goal, which we set out to achieve by 2020. Today more than 98% of the wood used for IKEA products is either FSC-certified or recycled.

IKEA Forest Positive Agenda for 2030

As pressure on the world’s forests and the surrounding eco-systems increases due to unsustainable agriculture, the expansion of infrastructure and illegal logging, it is time to take an even more holistic approach to protect and support these important resources for generations to come. The IKEA Forest Positive Agenda for 2030 set out to improve forest management, enhance biodiversity, mitigate climate change and support the rights and needs of people who depend on forests across the whole supply chain and drive innovation to use wood in even smarter ways. The agenda focuses on three key areas: • Making responsible forest management the norm across the world. • Halting deforestation and reforesting degraded landscapes. • Driving innovation to use wood in smarter ways by designing all products from the very beginning to be reused, refurbished, remanufactured, and eventually recycled.

We accomplish more by working together

For many years, IKEA has partnered with businesses, governments, social groups and non-governmental organisations to fight forest degradation and deforestation and increase the volume and availability of wood from responsibly managed forests both for our own supply chain and beyond. We are on a journey to improve global forest management and make responsible wood sourcing the industry standard, contributing to building resilient forest landscapes and improve biodiversity.

Material

What is fibreboard?

Fiberboard is a stable and durable material made of leftover wood from the wood industry. A durable outer layer of paint or laminate is added to the board. The difference between various types of fiberboards, such as HDF and MDF, is mainly the thickness, yet also how impact-resistant they are. This determines if we will use them for bed frames, sofa frames, kitchen fronts, wardrobe doors, or something completely different.

"LOMMARP stands out – and blends in. The series has references to traditional carpentry, but I've also given it a modern touch to suit today's urban lifestyles. It's a little like that unique piece of furniture you’ve inherited from a family member, with distinct details and matte colors to add personality and character to the room. LOMMARP can be used anywhere in the home where you need storage, and the expressive yet clean design makes it easy to combine with other furniture."
