Nice but issuesNatashaLove Ikea furniture and have bought many pieces, generally happy with design and quality BUT in this case two problems: missing hardware requiring return to store and poor finish. We bought this specifically because it is wood for use as storage in a kitchen. Expected painted surface to allow regular wiping because it is in a kitchen. Cabinet is so poorly painted we had to repaint it ourselves . Really disappointed.

Poorly designed fasteners OlgaI own many IKEA pieces. This one is the worst of all the systems for assembly so far. Plastic parts that break easily during assembly and weird large holes that split corners when attempting to move. Total junk. Returning all 4
Not greatAshleyI don’t know what is going on with IKEA. I’ve been buying and assembling this furniture since the 80’s and always felt that it was great value for money. These cabinets are very cute but the door adjustment takes me back to the bad old days of early Cabinet doors. In the past ten years IKEA doors have been designed to be relatively fool-proof but these are diabolical. So much adjustment is required to get the doors straight and functional. Furthermore, some parts of the two-part fastening system were missing (also very unusual for IKEA). Also annoying, I can’t go back and edit my typos in this review 🤔

Half of hardware and wood missing ClaraIf I only knew , while doing some moving into new house and leaving things to build when actually got things fixed , I made the mistake of leaving for safety the purchase sealed inside the box to open just now when we finally could build in our new home , but guess what? The back is in a bigger size, missing wholes to use screws as directed on the manual , missing shelves and hardware for the piece .

The sturdiest, most wonderful cabinetsJenniferI purchased these cabinets a year ago, for my home office. I placed Billy Bookcases on top, to make a "built in" library wall. They are so beautiful! My office is now a very peaceful place, even with so many long hours working a high-stress job. Everything is very organized, and with three of each, I have plenty of storage.
I am very impressed with these completely solid wood cabinets. VERY well built, not what I expected from Ikea, honestly. They ship fully assembled (I may have had to put the doors on, but that's it) and are SOLIDLY built.
As proof, I managed to catch the edge of my chair on the end of my chair mat where it meets my very plush carpet, and flipped my chair over. This launched me headfirst into a cabinet door at a high velocity (and I am not a small person). The impact so painful, my chiropractor will be employed for a while, just taking care of my head, neck, and back. This cabinet door should have broken, or at the very least, cracked. But is just like before.
Nice cabinet but be prepared to paintJanetCabinet is nice but poor surface finish. The wood is dry and looks ready to crack and the paint layer is so thin that there are areas of no paint. There are scuff marks that go against the grain. As it is most likely one coat, there has been no finishing sanding so you can feel all the coarseness brought up by painting.
I called ikea and learned that this cabinet is designed to have a thin layer of paint with gray undertones.
They did offer to pick up my cabinets and replace them. After thought, I have decided just to refinish them. A lot of money for essentially minimally painted furniture :(

Purchase with CautionEmilyThe cabinets are solid and built with quality. However, the white cabinets have a very thin layer of matte paint. Because of this you can see every imperfection of the wood grain. Additionally, because matte paint was used and no protectant top code- the cabinets get very dirty and you cannot wipe them clean. My mom purchased the beige cabinets and they had a very heavy paint and top coat. Was extremely dissatisfied when IKEA failed to offer a discount due to the quality.
I will say the delivery and service was amazing and the cabinets themselves are very sturdy.
Exactly what I’d hoped!StaceyI designed a home office for my husband. Budget is always a factor. We have been Ikea customers for over 35 years. I bought 4 of these among other pieces and prepped and painted them. They came out really nice!!
those hinges...HopeAssembly has been easy, up to the hinges. The instructions to put the hinges on the doors: simple. Perfect fit. Next, attach the hinges (on the doors) to the sides of the cabinet. No way to see where the holes in the sides of the cabinet are, and with the cabinet upright as shown, the doors are too heavy to install the hinges onto the cabinet sides. The wood is so soft that it's easy to misalign the hinges too. I'm considering taking the whole thing apart to install the hinges on the cabinet sides, and then install the doors, and then go back and reassemble the whole cabinet. If I was about 3' tall and had a lamp on my forehead I might be able to line up the hinges while sitting inside the cabinet, otherwise it's a complete wash. Aside from that, this is an elegant little cabinet.

very unsatisfied Anthonybought 11 pieces of furniture and three of these , went to put together and the holes did not line up to the top of the cabinet been waiting for a while so i did not want to hastle with driving to my nearest ikea store which is 1hr away . had to make the holes bigger and cut some pieces to get it to fit . when you pay for nice furniture you expect it not to waste time to try and mark it work. i have 10 more pieces of furniture to put together i hope it pieces together with out any modification !!!!!
