Awful engineeringLaurelExtremely poor hinge quality makes the last step take as long as the entire building of the cabinet. Who ever designed this shouldn’t have a job. Poor instructions and should have had a third screw for the hinges on glass doors.

Base crackedHeatherBase cracked when securing top part to bottom part because there was no predrilled holes. Pretty bummed as it is noticeable from the side.
Nice cabinetsKimberlyThis is our fourth Havsta cabinet. We have three my husband made as built ins for our library. Love that these cabinets are mostly actual wood and not MDF. Also love that the interior glass shelves are in wood frame.
Beautiful color, high qualityBrandyI’ve bought several of these cabinets before and this one has to be the prettiest and the easiest to assemble compared to earlier models. The glass looks lovely and the entire unit is true solid wood.
Perfect for my spaceJennaeWe used two of these to create a storage wall in our morning room. It’s stylish. We get a lot of compliments on it. There’s a lot of storage. It’s perfect for a recreation room. We also used another HAVSTA cabinet in between.
Stained wood not paintedJessicaI didn’t realize the wood knots would show through and I don’t think that was accurately represented in the photographs. I am a bit disappointed in that as it looks like stains. Beautiful piece otherwise.
Solid Build, But Deceptive Finish - Be Aware of the PaintBoI recently purchased the IKEA HAVSTA storage combination with glass doors (white color), the overall experience had some positives, there is one major take away - the poor paint finish.
Paint Finish (or lack thereof): This is where IKEA really let me down. What they advertise as a brush painted or finished surface is, in reality, just primer. The surface feels chalky and unfinished, you can see wood knots, and it easily picks up marks and stains. It’s not sealed or protected in any meaningful way, which means it’s not suitable for regular use without adding your own paint or topcoat.
False Advertising: Nowhere in the product description does it clearly state that this is just primed wood. IKEA markets this as having a finished look, which is misleading and, frankly, dishonest. This should be explicitly labeled as a "paint-it-yourself" piece, not passed off as a fully finished product.
Defective qualityJodiI bought 3 piece set- glass shelf, sideboard and cabinet in gray color. I spent $ for delivery and task rabbit assembly. All 3 pieces have blue circles throughout where the wood wasn’t painted. I have called and emailed customer service with photos as requested several times and no response. I won’t be purchasing from IKEA again.

Perfect for Our NeedScottWe had two PAX cabinets with mirrored doors, which we loved, but they were too big for the new space. So we replaced them with these and they are perfect. They assembled easily enough and look fantastic. Even the lighting we installed work perfectly with it. Couldn't be happier (unless they lowered the price).
Very well madeMargieThe glass panels add to the units appeal. I paired this with two of the shelf units and they 3 units with this in the middle look amazing. Great product. IKEA has impressed me with this unit.
Love except the hingesMorganWe got 3 of these and while they’re great now that they’re done, the hinges almost lead to a divorce. 😅 I ended up drilling new pilot holes into the hinge itself because the holes in the hinge were too small for the screws that came with the product. Hopefully they fix this, because otherwise it would be a pretty straightforward build and good quality end product!
