We like to make visiting IKEA both fun for children and easier for grown-ups.
Småland is our free supervised play area, located at the entrance of our stores (except Loulé), where your children can have fun safely while you can enjoy shopping in-store.

How does it work?
- Småland is free for children between 3 and 10 years old and between 94 cm and 137 cm tall who accompany IKEA customers;
- Can be used once a day for 1 hour; T
- The use of socks is mandatory.
How does the fun begin?
- Check the admission and security conditions at the entrance;
- All parents or guardians can register children as long as they are over 18 years old;
- If there is waiting time, you will be informed at the time of registration;
- Enjoy 60 minutes of shopping while your children have fun!
How do we ensure security?
To ensure the safety and enjoyment of all children, the following conditions must be respected:
- Only the responsible adult who dropped off the child may pick him/her up;
- The adult responsible for the child must be contactable during the child's stay in Smalånd. If the child misses you, they will receive an SMS or we will call them through the store's public address system;
- Each space has a maximum capacity for safety reasons and if capacity is exceeded there may be holding time;
- As a general rule, there should be one co-worker for every 10 children. However, the maximum capacity may still be adjusted in the following situations:
- if there is only 1 co-worker present in the space, we will accept a maximum of 6 children;
- children with special supervision needs will have individual/special supervision from a co-worker.
