What is the difference between a corner sofa and a chaise longue sofa?

Both types of sofas have a corner, so what’s the difference? A corner sofa forms a true corner (in an L- or U-shape) and includes multiple seats with backrests. A chaise longue sofa, on the other hand, is essentially a 2-, 3-, or 4-seater sofa with one extended seat section, without a backrest, designed for stretching out your legs. A chaise longue sofa offers fewer seats, but it’s perfect for lounging or relaxing with one or two people.
