    Good but not ideal.AndrewThis review refers to a whole suite of Kallax including--so far--2x2, 1x3 and 4x2 modules, 2 drawer units, 2 cabinet doors, 2 single-divider units and 1 quad-divider unit (see picture above). It seems quite a bargain compared with other similar items online. Quality is OK although the finish of a few pieces was already scuffed upon arrival and unpacking. Assembly was easy except for the cabinet doors, which were a bit challenging. Also, as each door module requires a folded sheet-material structure that fills the back of the cube, they're useless for hiding audio or electrical cables. The single divider units and quad divider unit were available only in white, which clashes somewhat with the rest of the suite (brown-black). All-in-all, though, they do their job (bookcase, document filing and audio system support in a man-cave) well.4

    What is fibreboard?

    Fibreboard is a stable and durable material made of leftover wood from the wood industry. A durable outer layer of paint or laminate is added to the board. The difference between various types of fibreboards, such as HDF and MDF, is mainly the thickness, yet also how impact-resistant they are. This determines if we will use them for bed frames, sofa frames, kitchen fronts, wardrobe doors, or something completely different.
