Hanging curtains and blinds
Before hanging your curtains and blinds, first measure your windows. We explain how to do this here. After this you determine the color, layers, styles and the way to hang your curtains or blinds.
On this page you will find the most common ways of hanging each curtain type; including a shopping list. Both for curtains and for (smart) blinds and for top-down bottom-up curtains.
Please note: how much you need of each product depends on the size of your windows.

How to hang your curtains

(Smart) roller blinds
For online instructions and supplies, go to the product page of your blind. Under product details you will see "assembly & documents". There you find the relevant assembly instructions.
Top-down bottom-up curtains
Top-down bottom-up curtains are highly recommended to be attach to surfaces made of glass. You simply attach them with the stickers that are included. Want to change the size? The assembly instructions include a table with numbers corresponding to those on the fabric and rails to facilitate precise measuring and cutting.
For window frames or surfaces made from other materials it’s not recommended to use the adhesive. Mount the brackets with screws using a drill or screwdriver. The brackets are prepared with small holes for this purpose.
To reposition or reuse on another window, remove adhesive-mounted brackets with a plastic hand scraper. Replace them with new brackets, which are available cost-free at IKEA stores, or order them on the spare parts page.
