Put together your curtain system
Before you start, here are a few tips to make it easier for you to put together your VIDGA curtain rail.
1) Determine the length of the rail
- To determine the length of the curtain rail, first measure the window width.
- Are you planning a curtain rail with normal curtains? Add at least 15 cm per side to the measurement of the window width.
The extra centimetres ensure that the curtains completely cover the window and can be opened completely.

2a) Ceiling mounted
Would you rather not drill into your plastered walls? Then hang your curtain rails from the ceiling.
1. Choose the type of track
Choose the colour that fits your interior and style.
2. Attach the track to the ceiling
The mounting for your ceiling rails is already included in the product.
3. Choose your accessories
Buy a package of VIDGA gliders and hooks to easily assemble your curtains. One bag of gliders and hooks is enough for one curtain pair.
2b) Wall-mounted
Don't want to make holes in your ceiling? Then hang your curtain rails on the wall.
1. Choose short or long wall brackets
- Short wall brackets/wall fittings (6 cm) are close to the wall and let less daylight into the room.
- Long wall brackets/wall fittings (12 cm) are ideal for a window with a window sill: your curtains hang down nicely. Several layers of curtain rails also fit in long wall fittings
3. Choose the number of wall brackets
If your rails are between 140 cm and 280 cm, then 3 brackets are enough. If your rails are 280 cm or longer, you need at least 4 brackets.
4. Choose your accessories

2c) Corner solution on ceiling or wall
If you want to hang a curtain around corners of 90° or 270°, there is a special corner solution. These are suitable for wall and ceiling mounting.
