SUNDVIK changing table/chest

Safety warning - IKEA askes all customers that have a SUNDVIK changing table/chest of drawer to secure the folding part with the safety locking fittings provided. If lost or misplaced, please contact IKEA to receive new ones free of charge.
IKEA has received three reports of incidents where the foldable part has come loose, and children have fallen off the changing table. In the reports IKEA has seen that customers tend to use SUNDVIK changing table/chest as an everyday folding changing table, and that they don’t use the safety locking fittings according to instructions. The intended use is for changing diapers on small children. Its second life is as storage furniture.
Safe products are always top priority. As a precautionary measure IKEA announces a repair service action. All customers that have a SUNDVIK changing table/chest and that have misplaced or lost the safety locking fittings, are asked to call IKEA to receive new fittings free of charge. Customers will not have to provide any proof of purchase, such as a receipt.

Safety warning and recall - IKEA recalls SÖTSAK SKUMTOPP, soft marshmallow pastry, 180g, due to unclear declaration of the allergen milk in the list of ingredients. Food safety is a top priority at IKEA and we want to make customers aware that SÖTSAK SKUMTOPP pastries with best before dates between 2019-03-12 and 2019-04-18 are affected by this recall. Customers allergic or intolerant to milk or milk constituents are advised to return SÖTSAK SKUMTOPP to the nearest IKEA store for a full refund.
Customers should always feel confident that food products sold and served at IKEA are safe and healthy to consume. IKEA recalls SÖTSAK SKUMTOPP, soft marshmallow pastry, 180g, due to unclear declaration of the allergen milk in the list of ingredients.
The product contains whey powder, which is derived from milk, making the product a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy or intolerance to milk or milk constituents. Although whey powder is mentioned in the list of ingredients, milk is unfortunately not.
There is no need to worry about eating the product for people that do not suffer from an allergy or intolerance to milk or milk constituents. Customers allergic or intolerant to milk or otherwise concerned are advised to return SÖTSAK SKUMTOPP to the nearest IKEA store for a full refund. No receipt is required.

White GLIVARP extendable dining table
IKEA asks customers who have purchased a white IKEA GLIVARP extendable dining table not to use it again. Customers can return the dining table to any IKEA store. They will then receive the full purchase amount back.
IKEA has issued this safety alert and recall after receiving some reports of the extending glass table top coming off the rails and breaking.
No concessions
Product safety is paramount at IKEA. All IKEA products are extensively tested and must comply with legal safety standards. The reported issues with the white GLIVARP extendable dining table have prompted IKEA to issue a safety alert and recall this product. IKEA does not compromise on product safety and wants to protect its customers from new incidents.
Only the white version
The GLIVARP glass dining table has been available since 2017 in all markets where IKEA is active. In the Netherlands this table has the product number 203.347.00. There are two versions on the market, namely a transparent chrome-plated and a white one. This safety alert and recall only affects the white variety. No reports have been received about the transparent chrome-plated GLIVARP dining table.

CALYPSO ceiling lamp
IKEA asks customers who have purchased a CALYPSO ceiling lamp after August 1, 2016 to stop using it and to carefully disassemble the product. Customers can return the lamp to any IKEA store. They will receive a replacement product there or, if desired, receive a full refund of the purchase price.
IKEA has issued this recall after receiving some reports of the glass lampshade coming loose, which could cause it to fall and break the glass. It concerns a specific batch of CALYPSO ceiling lamps that were for sale after August 1, 2016 and are provided with the date stamp 1625 to 1744. This stamp refers to the year (first two digits) and the week (last two digits) of production.

Safety and product quality are always the highest priority at IKEA. All products are extensively tested and must meet the legal safety standards. Based on reported issues with the specific stock of CALYPSO ceiling lamps, IKEA has decided to issue this safety alert and recall the products.
Return
The CALYPSO ceiling lamp has been available since 2001 in all markets where IKEA is active. The CALYPSO ceiling lamps sold in the Netherlands have the item number 200.324.15. IKEA asks customers to check that their lamp is date stamped 1625 through 1744. The safety warning and recall only applies to units with this stamp. Customers can return these ceiling lamps to any IKEA store. They will then receive a replacement CALYPSO product or receive a full refund of the purchase price. No receipt or other proof of purchase is required.

This is how you can safely dismantle the glass CALYPSO lampshade: Carefully pull out the movable mounting feet and remove the lampshade while keeping the mounting feet pulled out.

LURVIG water dispenser
The Swedish store urges customers to stop using this product and return it to an IKEA store. They will receive the full purchase amount back there. There is a danger that pets can get their heads stuck in the water dispenser, causing a risk of suffocation.
Worldwide, IKEA has received two reports of dogs suffocating after becoming trapped in the LURVIG water dispenser. “We deeply regret these accidents,” says responsible manager Petra Axdorff of IKEA of Sweden AB. “We know all too well that pets are important and beloved family members to many of our customers. Safety and product quality are always the highest priority at IKEA. That is why we have decided to stop selling this product with immediate effect.”
No proof of purchase required
The LURVIG water dispenser was for sale in fifteen countries, since April 2018 in the Netherlands. Customers returning the product to an IKEA store do not need proof of purchase. For more information, customers can contact us on 050-711 12 67.

SLADDA bicycle
As a precaution, IKEA is recalling all SLADDA city bicycles sold by the store since autumn 2016. The drive belt supplier has informed IKEA of any problems that may arise with this part. There is a risk that the drive belt suddenly snaps during use, which could lead to a fall.
IKEA has received eleven reports of broken drive belts worldwide. In two cases this resulted in minor injuries. Safety and product quality are always the highest priority at IKEA. To prevent new incidents with the SLADDA bicycle, it has therefore been decided to stop selling this product. In addition, IKEA strongly urges its customers to stop using the SLADDA bicycle and to return it to one of the IKEA stores. They will then receive the full purchase amount back. This also applies to accessories specially designed for use with the SLADDA bicycle.
The SLADDA bicycle has been on sale since autumn 2016 in 26 IKEA markets worldwide, including the Netherlands.

GODIS PÅSKKYCKLING Easter foam
IKEA is recalling all 100 gram packages of GODIS PÅSKKYCKLING Easter foam as a precaution. This candy may have come into contact with mice during production at the supplier.
This concerns the packaging with a best before date of October 23, 2018 and January 26, 2019. This best before date is stated on the back of the packaging.
IKEA has been informed about the presence of mice at its external supplier during the production of the 100 gram packages of GODIS PÅSKKYCKLING Easter foam. Food safety and product quality have the highest priority at IKEA. IKEA does not make any concessions on that. All products must comply with strict international and national legislation and be tested according to relevant safety and quality standards. Naturally, this also applied to the GODIS PÅSKKYCKLING foam that was sold in 100 gram packaging in the Swedisch Food Market.
The supplier cannot rule out that the mice have come into contact with the Easter foam. Therefore, as a precaution, IKEA asks customers who have purchased GODIS PÅSKKYCKLING Easter foam not to consume this product and to return it to one of the IKEA stores. IKEA will refund the full purchase price. No receipt is required for this refund. IKEA apologizes for the inconvenience.

MYSINGSÖ beach chair
IKEA asks customers to stop using the MYSINGSÖ beach chair.
The product does not meet the safety requirements and is therefore being recalled. Customers can return the beach chair to any IKEA store. There they will receive the full purchase amount back.
IKEA has issued this safety alert after receiving five reports of trapped fingers. In these cases, customers had disassembled the MYSINGSÖ beach chair to remove the cover for a wash. There is a risk of people falling through the chair if it is not reassembled correctly. This can also trap fingers. As far as is known, no reports of injuries have been received in the Netherlands.
Sale discontinued
IKEA does not compromise on the safety of its products. All IKEA products must comply with international and national legislation and be tested according to relevant safety standards. Naturally, this also applied to the MYSINGSÖ beach chair. Immediately after receiving the reports of injuries, IKEA launched an extensive investigation. This has shown that the risk of future incidents with this product cannot be ruled out. In response, sales have ceased immediately and this safety alert and recall has been issued. This spring IKEA will come with an improved design of the beach chair.
Customers can return the MYSINGSÖ beach chair purchased before December 2016 to any IKEA store in the Netherlands. They will then receive the full purchase amount back. A receipt or other proof of purchase is not required for a refund. The design has now been adjusted and the renewed MYSINGSÖ beach chair will be available again from February. ELVARLI support
IKEA asks customers who have purchased an ELVARLI support to dismantle it and return it to an IKEA store. They will be refunded the full purchase amount. The support is part of the ELVARLI open storage system.
IKEA is recalling the ELVARLI support because there is a risk of the shelving system becoming loose and falling over. An insert has not been fitted correctly making it difficult or impossible to secure the bracket between the floor and ceiling.
IKEA has not received any complaints or reports from customers of any injuries and assesses the risk as low. However, the consequences of an accident can be serious. IKEA is therefore recalling the supports as a precaution and will refund the purchase price in full. Of course, if desired, customers can return the entire storage system.
The ELVARLI support can be returned to any IKEA store for a full refund. No proof of purchase (receipt) is required for a refund. The design has now been modified and the renewed ELVARLI support will be available again from January 2017.

Six chocolate products
IKEA tightens safety warning for these six chocolate products due to almond and hazelnut traces. Unfortunately, this is not clearly stated on the packaging. IKEA has stopped selling the products since July 25.
IKEA today adds six chocolate products to the recall of the 100 gram bars of dark chocolate CHOKLAD MÖRK 60% and CHOKLAD MÖRK 70%, which started last month.
It concerns the 180 gram bars CHOKLAD LINGON & BLÅBAR (lingonberry and blueberry, article number 602.184.21), 100 gram bars CHOKLAD LJUS UTZ (milk, 402.939.25) and CHOKLAD NÖT UTZ (hazelnut, 202.939.26), 450 gram packages GODIS CHOKLADKROKANT (butterscotch, 202.155.04), 168 gram packs of GODIS CHOKLADRÅN (chocolate wafers, 202.290.30), and the 400 gram jars of CHOKLADKROKANT BREDBAR (butterscotch spread, 602.501.33). The recall applies to all expiration dates.
Incorrect product information
IKEA, in collaboration with external experts, has conducted extensive research into the composition and manufacture of its chocolate products after traces of milk and hazelnut were found last month in the 100 gram CHOKLAD MÖRK 60% and CHOKLAD MÖRK 70% dark chocolate bars. Based on this research, six other chocolate products have been found to contain traces of almond and/or hazelnut as standard. The product information on the packaging only states that these chocolate products may contain such traces, but that is not correct. The information may be particularly misleading for people who are allergic to almonds and/or hazelnuts. The chocolate is safe for people who are not allergic to these ingredients.
Sale stopped
Product and food safety is of utmost importance to IKEA. Therefore, as a precaution, the sale of these chocolate products has been stopped. The safety alert and recall is valid worldwide. IKEA informs customers that the 100 gram bars of dark chocolate CHOKLAD MÖRK 60% and CHOKLAD MÖRK 70% may contain traces of milk and hazelnut.
Unfortunately, this is not clearly stated on the packaging. Until June 9, these products were sold in the IKEA Swedish Food Market. Food safety is the highest priority at IKEA. That is why the store is recalling this chocolate as a precaution.
Consumers with an allergy to milk and/or hazelnuts may experience an allergic reaction when they eat these products. The chocolate is safe for anyone who is not allergic to these ingredients.

PATRULL child gates
IKEA asks consumers to immediately stop using the PATRULL FAST, PATRULL KLÄMMA and PATRULL child gates because of unreliable closing.
These products do not meet our safety requirements and are therefore being recalled. Customers can hand in the child gates at any IKEA store. There they will receive the full purchase amount back.
IKEA has issued this safety alert and recall after receiving several reports of the child gates opening unexpectedly. As a result, children have fallen down the stairs, resulting in physical injuries.
Sales discontinued
Independent research has shown that the closing mechanism of the child gates is not reliable and can open unexpectedly. Although these child gates have been extensively tested and meet all legal safety standards, IKEA has stopped sales after receiving and investigating the reports. IKEA wants to eliminate the risk of future incidents and has therefore decided to issue this safety alert and recall.

LATTJO bat cape
IKEA asks consumers to keep the LATTJO bat cape out of the reach of children. The product does not meet the safety requirements and is therefore being recalled. Customers can return the cape to any IKEA store. There they will receive the full purchase amount back.
IKEA has issued this safety alert after receiving three reports of children suffering scrapes and abrasions on the neck while playing with the bat cape. This happened after the cape got stuck and only released with difficulty. The injuries were minor and did not require medical treatment. As IKEA wants to eliminate the risk of future incidents with the cape, this safety alert and recall has been initiated.
New requirements
After receiving the reports, IKEA immediately started a safety investigation. The initial results of that study showed that the cape does not release smoothly once it gets stuck. Based on this, IKEA has decided to formulate new requirements for this type of confirmation. IKEA does not compromise on the safety of its products.
Sale discontinued
The LATTJO bat cape was part of the LATTJO bat suit and was also available separately under article number 603.116.50. This children's toy has been on sale in all IKEA markets since November 2015, with the exception of Russia and Indonesia. IKEA immediately stopped selling the LATTJO bat cape after receiving the reports last month.
Customers can return the LATTJO bat cape to any IKEA store in the Netherlands. They will then receive the full purchase amount back. A receipt or other proof of purchase is not required for a refund.

GOTHEM standing lamp base and table lamp base
IKEA asks customers who have purchased a GOTHEM lamp to stop using it and to return the product to an IKEA store. They will receive the full purchase amount back there.
IKEA has issued this safety alert after receiving some reports of damaged cabling in the GOTHEM lamp base and GOTHEM table lamp bases. Damaged cables can cause an electric shock. IKEA wants to prevent this and is therefore recalling all three models in this series.
Safety before everything
The call emphatically also applies to GOTHEM lamps that simply work. IKEA attaches great importance to safe products and makes no concessions in this area. Although we have not yet had any reports of customers being injured by a GOTHEM lamp, we cannot rule out the risk of future incidents. With this safety alert, we urge customers to stop using this product. Sale discontinued The GOTHEM lamps have been on sale worldwide since October 2015. Ceiling lamps HYBY, LOCK en RINNA
IKEA asks customers who have purchased a HYBY, LOCK or RINNA ceiling lamp to stop using it and to carefully disassemble the product.
Customers can return the lamp to any IKEA store. They will receive the full purchase amount back there.
IKEA has decided on this safety alert after receiving several reports of the glass lampshade coming loose. It may therefore fall from the ceiling and cause personal injury. In some cases, minor injuries actually occurred.

LATTJO drumsticks and percussion instrument
IKEA requests that customers who have purchased LATTJO drumsticks and/or the LATTJO percussion instrument stop using them and return them to an IKEA store.
They will be refunded the full purchase amount.
IKEA issued this safety alert after receiving six reports in which store employees found that the rubber ball of the drumsticks could detach or unscrew. IKEA has not received any reports of incidents, but realizes that a detached rubber ball could pose a danger to young children. IKEA therefore recommends keeping these toys out of their reach.
Safe toys
The LATTJO drumsticks and the LATTJO percussion instrument meet the current standards for safe toys. Nevertheless, based on the findings, IKEA has decided that certain risks may occur when the rubber ball is released. Safety for children is always IKEA's top priority. That is why the store is issuing this warning.
Peace of mind
“Children don't immediately think about safety when playing,” says Cindy Andersen, responsible for toy products at IKEA. “We should do that when we develop products. Our starting point is that we only sell toy products that we would feel comfortable giving to our own children. Although the LATTJO drumsticks and the LATTJO percussion instrument have been extensively tested and approved according to the legal standards for safe toys, we cannot rule out certain incidents. With this recall, we want to eliminate that risk.”

PATRULL night light
IKEA requests that customers who use a PATRULL night light with sensor stop using it and return the product to an IKEA store.
IKEA recently received one report - from Austria - about a one-and-a-half-year-old boy who was injured while handling a PATRULL night light. The boy tried to pull the light out of a socket, after which the cover came off, resulting in an electric shock. Fortunately, the boy suffered no permanent injuries.
Safety above all
Product safety, especially safety for children, is always IKEA's top priority. That is why we take immediate action if an IKEA product is involved in an incident. In this case we immediately stopped the sale. We also had additional tests performed on approximately 600 PATRULL nightlights. No irregularities were found. This product complies with all legal safety regulations and quality standards.
Purchase amount refunded
Nevertheless, IKEA has decided to proceed with this recall. In this way we want to completely exclude any chance of a new incident. Customers can return the PATRULL nightlight to an IKEA store. They will then receive the full purchase amount back. No receipt or other proof of purchase is required for the refund. PASTAÄLGAR (wholemeal) pasta
IKEA advises customers that PASTAÄLGAR and PASTAÄLGAR FULLKORN, moose-shaped (wholemeal) pasta sold in the IKEA Swedish Food Market, may contain soy. Unfortunately, this is not stated on the packaging. As a precaution, we are recalling this product.
People with a soy allergy may experience an allergic reaction when eating this product. The product is safe for anyone who is not allergic to soy. IKEA asks customers with a soy allergy to stop using the PASTAÄLGAR -shaped (wholemeal) pasta and to return it to one of our IKEA stores. We will then refund the full purchase amount. Customers who are not allergic to soy can also return the product if desired.
This recall affects all packages of PASTAÄLGAR and PASTAÄLGAR FULLKORN, regardless of production or best-before date.
