What can I do if I received an item that I did not order?
If you receive a product that you didn't order, check first to see if it's an additional item or if any items are missing from your original order. If items are missing, please contact IKEA Customer Service in-store or remotely, and we'll help you return the wrong items and get the missing ones. If you have received additional items, please check your purchase invoice to see if you have been charged, then contact IKEA Customer Service for instructions on how to proceed.
- Contact our IKEA Customer Service remotely. Type "Talk to a person" in the chat or call 900.400.922, You just have to tell us which item you received by mistake and we will take care of removing it from your home as quickly as possible. And in the event that we have delivered a different item to the one you have in your purchase order, we will come to deliver the correct one and remove the wrong one.
- Visit an IKEA store. You can also go to the Customer Service department (located at the entrance/exit) of your IKEA store nearest with the leftover item and the purchase invoice/receipt, if it is more convenient for you. Our team will assist you with the next steps to return leftover items and issue a refund to the original payment method or a refund card if you wish.
- Visit an IKEA store. Go to your customer's customer service department IKEA store nearest with the invoice or purchase receipt and, if possible, the item delivered in error. Our team will be able to replace the wrong item you received with the correct one in store or manage home delivery if the item is not available in stock or you cannot take it home. We'll also explain the options you have regarding the item delivered incorrectly if you haven't been able to bring it to the store.
- Contact IKEA Customer Service remotely. Especially if the wrong item is too heavy or if you prefer to have the missing item shipped to your address. Get in touch with our team by typing "Talk to a person" in the chat or by calling 900.400.922, and we will arrange for home delivery of missing items and also collection of the incorrectly delivered item, if necessary.
