How does the ‘Delivery to your door’ service work?

To use this service, add the items you want to your basket and select ‘Delivery to your door’. Provide your delivery details and confirm your order. You will receive a confirmation email and SMS with the details. On the day of delivery, please ensure that access is clear and that someone over the age of 18 is present to receive the order. If you notice any problems (e.g. missing or damaged items), please inform the delivery driver immediately and contact IKEA Customer Service.

1. Place your order (online, in-store or with the distance selling team): a. Add the items to your shopping basket and select the “Home delivery” option. If this option does not appear, it may be because the item's dimensions exceed the established weight and size limits. b. Provide complete and accurate delivery details. Enter your address, check the delivery instructions (including parking or access restrictions) and select the delivery date. c. At checkout, you will be shown the calculated price (based on the order value and the delivery type chosen) and provided with a delivery time slot, except for parcel orders where we will offer you an estimated delivery time.
d. Changes to items (adding or removing products) are not permitted. If you need to make changes, you must cancel the order and create a new one. Please note that if the order has already been dispatched, the shipping costs will be deducted. You can change the date or time slot before the order is prepared or in the process of being shipped. You can manage this yourself using our self-service solution ‘Reschedule’ in Track and manage your order. To cancel your order, go to Track and manage your order and select ‘Cancel order’. If you are unable to do so, please contact Customer Service. e. Use the Track and manage your order tool to follow the progress of your delivery
2 . Processing and shipping: a. After the process, you will receive a confirmation email or SMS with the delivery details. b. Verify that your contact details are correct.
3. Order delivery: a. The carrier may contact you prior to delivery. If you do not answer the call, the delivery person will proceed with the delivery attempt. b. Ensure that the delivery vehicle has clear access (no obstacles). c. Ensure that someone over the age of 18 is available at the delivery address during the delivery window. d. Your items will be delivered to your door. If no one is at home at the time of delivery and we are unable to contact you, the order will be marked as failed. In the event of any issues, we will contact you directly. Please note that if you have items at home that you wish to return, you will not be able to hand them over to the courier when they deliver your new items. In this case, please contact us to arrange a collection service at your home. e. Upon receiving your packages, please check that they match the delivery invoice and verify that there is no damage and that no items are missing. If you detect any problems, please inform the carrier and note it on the delivery note. The carrier will notify IKEA, and if you prefer, you can also contact our Customer Service team directly.
