Important information

  • For logistical reasons, we cannot accept returns: at our external pick-up points in Chur and Landquart or our parcel pick-up points.
  • At our Plan and Order points in Zurich and Chur, you can only return products that you purchased there and took away with you directly.
  • At our Plan and order point in Winterthur, you can only return products that you have received by post. Please note that this only applies to products with a maximum weight of 30 kg and a maximum size of 100x60x60 cm

In-store returns and alternative services

Returning opened and unopened IKEA products

You can return most opened and unopened IKEA products, giving you the flexibility to shop with confidence and try them at home. Returns are subject to proof of purchase, the applicable return terms and the condition of the products at the time of return, with specific return periods applying to certain items such as mattresses.

IKEA products you cannot return

You cannot return services or products if they are dirty, damaged or missing any parts, or if they have been modified. In these cases, you might wish to use our removal service instead:

Has your item not met the return conditions, or have you gone beyond the 365-day return period?

No need to worry. IKEA may still take back certain items to give them a second life. If your item is eligible, you can estimate the value of your furniture and accessories using our buyback simulator, bring them to the After-Sales Service and receive a digital voucher to use at IKEA.
