What can I do if something from my order is damaged?

If something was damaged during delivery, you have 7 days to inform us (also via our transport partner). If something got damaged afterwards, as an IKEA Family member, you have 14 days from purchase date to exchange it in one of our stores.

There is a difference if the responsibility of the damage lies by IKEA, our partner or by you.
A) If you received the product damaged per delivery or collection in a pick-up point or collect box, you maybe informed our transport partner right away or contact IKEA Customer service within 7 days to let us know about the damage.

B) If you damaged the product during transport or while assembling it, you have to be an IKEA Family member to get 14 days to let us know about it.
Create a claim for damaged goods directly online through your purchase history. You can also directly go in a store or contact us per phone. One of our co-workers will help you with a solution.
You will have the possibility to choose between several options:
  • Get a replacement product in the store
  • Get a refund of the product's value
  • Get a new delivery or Click&Collect order, based on your original purchase option.
