What do I have to consider with fitting doors for PAX?
When you are mounting doors on your PAX wardrobe it is important to consider the height of the ceiling and the placement of the hinges.
The rails of the sliding doors are mounted on top of the wardrobe. To be able to mount the sliding doors you will need a ceiling height of at least 240 cm for a structure of 236 cm, and a ceiling height of 205 cm for a structure of 201 cm.
When mounting doors with hinges it is important to ensure the hinges are placed at the correct height. The easiest way to do this correctly is to first fix the hinges to the doors, and then fix the doors to the wardrobe.
When mounting the hinges on a 201 cm high structure, the hinge on the right hand door will be one position higher than on the left hand door. Since a left hand door is simply a right hand door turned upside down, the middle hinge will be slightly above the middle on one side and slightly below on the other. Our online planner takes this into account when positioning the interiors.
