BADRING water leakage sensor helps you detect water leaks by beeping when it comes into contact with water.

The small size makes it easy to position under the sink, appliances, or other places where a water leakage can occur.

When connected to DIRIGERA hub, the sensor sends a notification to your smartphone with information about the water leak.

Ecosystem currently limitedJcThis could be a handy device, but is currently limited in usefulness due to how underdeveloped and un-user friendly Ikea‘s smart app and its ecosystem currently is. The app as-of-now is chock-full of shortcomings and UX issues, so without successfully setting up an email within the app (so you can presumably get leak warnings via email), the only way the water sensor can notify you when triggered is for now limited to switching on/off another connected smart light (or change its colour, if the bulb supports that— something else you‘d need to pay separately for on top of the Dirigera); you can’t even utilise different lighting patterns if your light(s) only has one light temperature. I‘m just eagerly awaiting more options within the app, or other devices i‘d need to invest in, so you can actually customise how leak warnings are given. It also doesn‘t seem to work with all rechargeable battery types, so if you already invested in your own ecosystem of LiPo batteries, be forewarned.3

Great Sensor for Home AssistantMarkusI have this ZigBee sensor integrated into my smart home server running Home Assistant and it is working smooth so far. I really like that it takes standard batteries instead of button cells and that it even beeps independently from the connection when it detects water. Great product to increase the safety of a home. Looking forward to more additions from IKEA in the smart home area.5
