Selling known defective products is appallingGrantSoon after buying this product I discover that IKEA have quietly upgraded the hardware under the same product name to address known connectivity and battery issues. It is a breach of trust to deceive customers by selling them known defective products without highlighting that fact and then only sell them at a discount if the customer wants to take the risk.1
Set and ForgetPaulPrior to setting it in place under the kitchen sink we tested it and was most satisfied with the results so that we can now set and forget with notifications through Apple Home. We’ll now be getting more for all of the other basins/sinks and laundry. Would recommend.5
Great safety deviceSusanGreat device if you have ageing tap hoses. After a neighbours hose burst causing thousands of $ damage I have placed one near every water source. Easily attached to my google home app without the hub.5
Great with HomeAssistant and AppleBenGreat low cost sensors. I purchased q2 and put them across the house. Connected to both Apple and home assistant at the same time. (I have integrated the thread network on both systems and these sensors work fine) was able to upgrade from version 1.0.7 to 1.0.11. (Jan2026) on either Apple or home assistant. I like how they use AAA batteries and show the charge via matter. Can be requested to blink the LED via home assistant. Apple sees them dropping in and out but I think this is the units going to sleep as home assistant does not show any issues and they seem to alert correctly when water is detected. (Beep and matter event) For the price they are better than a lot of other matter leak sensors out there.5
Set up difficultiesMurrayThe device works fine as an audible alarm and I have connected it to my Google Home, but it won't send notifications via Google Home to my phone. This is the main reason I bought it. The marketing blurb says it will work with a Matter hub, i.e. Google Nest Hub, but that doesn't seem to be true.2
