Once paired, it reports its status reliably. It's a useful part of a home automation system to get a window into the various zones of one's own house. Unlike other devices available from elsewhere that can be hit and miss, it's backed by IKEA.

They were $12 which I thought was a great deal, but they have gone up to $14.99 overnight. Which isn't great as I was hoping to buy more for the rest of my rooms.

Easy to connect and accurateLukeConnecting via Matter to Apple Home was a breeze. Distance from router seems good as there's been no drop outs. Design is simple. A design feature I'd live to see is a magnetic backing to metal surfaces.
Happy, but….AlanI purchased 3 units. They were easy to setup and add to my smart home (Homey / Google). Unfortunately one unit has suffered an early failure with the display no longer responding to the button. Given its $12 and it’s a $9 fee to return by postage it’s not worth the effort to send it back.

Ok UnitMatthewUnit is ok - disappointed in the lack of always on display, and temperature inaccuracy > than 2 degrees makes this an unreliable product. Connection to Apple Home was made after a few attempts, and since has been rock solid. I’m hoping a future software version is able to fix these issues.
