Would give zero stars if I couldJaneDoesn’t work, horrible design. Such a disappointment. We live four hours from nearest IKEA so it’s not worth the gas to even return it. Incredible letdown.
Broke immediatelyBennettWires got severed when attempting to snap the lamp post to the base. Don't buy this.
Doesn't workYvonneListen to the reviews. This lamp worked for less than 30 minutes. I used both batteries and the USB-C charger and it would turn off immediately after turning on. It's definitely a cute design, but at this point it's useless as a lamp.
cute soft lightAnniethe reviews are all over the place but I've have zero issues with mine. had it for almost a year now. I use it for nighttime winding down for bed and if I get up during the night, so I don't need to turn on the bright overheads. so I don't keep it on for more than 1 or 2 hours tops. holds charge, turns on and off when I need it. mines a pink one. and I charge it with the same cord as my ipad/MacBook. maybe the quality between the two colors are different.
Screw on the bottom so tight it stripped and now I can't get it open..LiamNot a functional product. SO cheap that the screw stripped within seconds of me trying to open it and so now I can't even use it. Let me guess, "Oh no! You have 180 days to go hours out of your way to return a $16 product! We won't just give you a refund for a useless item! Hope this helps!"
Should've read the reviews ughEvanBatteries die constantly and will only stay on for about 30s when low. USB-C doesnt work. It's only purpose is decor
Basically GarbageClaraWhile I was drawn to the design, this lamp is not functional at all. It’s also misleading as rechargeable—there’s a USB port, but it doesn’t actually charge. After inserting new batteries, the light just flickers and shuts off. Complete waste of money. Not sure why they are selling this.
What's the point of the USB-C? AshleyThe batteries don't charge despite using the exact rechargeable batteries that IKEA recommends and a USB-C charger. So, in order to use this lamp daily, I have to unscrew the bottom panel and replace the batteries, EVERY DAY. They couldn't even make the panel easy to open! The indicator light doesn't come on. Nothing. This feels like a cruel joke, honestly.
Works fine for me and cute!AlissaA lot of people have said it turns off, but I haven’t had that issue and I’ve had it 7 months now and use it daily. I plug it in turned off while I’m at work and have no issue using it while I’m home. The shade doesn’t really tip for me, you can tighten the little screw. Also cmon guys read the directions when you put it together and you won’t have an issue. I’m not saying it’s a perfect product but a lot of people are blaming IKEA for their mistakes. My only complaint is that I’d like to charge it while sleeping but the blinking light is annoying when the room is dark.
Cute lampAsiaIt’s a really cute lamp but assembly is a pain. I haven’t had any issues with it tuning on/off like other commenters so far. I honestly wasn’t expecting to assemble the entire thing either.
wish i read reviews firstJessikawhat a horribly designed product, the top snaps on so easily but then it turns out you're not supposed to do that and then the whole thing becomes irreparable
Love this cute lamp!LizThis lamp is so cute creating the softest warm glow. I use this on my desk and it is just enough for a cozy vibe and still functional with giving light. I first used batteries but went through them in a day, however the charge works better. I plug the lamp in and it flashes when charging and then will stop once fully charged. The charge lasts a good bit and is good for a portable lamp to move from space to space. I wish there were more colors of this lamp too! So I can buy multiple!
Great but...EvangelinaI have one of these in my bedroom and have had good luck with it. I bought rechargeable batteries from a different store and so far it's been working great, so why 4 stars?
I decided to buy another one for my desk at work but when I was assembling it one of the tighteners to lock in the shade would not unscrew, it almost felt like it was welded on. So now I have to drive all the way back to return it, which isn't close to me.
If you buy this in the store check the tightners for the shade to make sure they unscrew before you leave the parking lot.
CrapElizabethWhy are you even selling this still? It stays on for about five seconds with a new set of batteries and the shade doesn’t stay in place. And what’s the point of the charger you should take it off the sales floor or fix it.
AwesomeShaunnaThis little lamp has been great. I’ve had it about 10 months and use it every day. The pink lampshade gives off a beautiful hygge feeling. I finally had to replace the rechargeable batteries but it was easy and the lamp works just as great as before.
cute lampRobertpretty, but no battery charger included
8.45 Seconds of useLindseyI got this lamp to make a cozy corner for my work space. The first day I used it, I had it on almost all of the work day (8 hours) with no issues. It now keeps turning it off. I decided to time it…8.45 seconds of light and then it shuts off. Brand new batteries and everything. I was excited for a battery operated lamp that was cute but this is the literal worst.
Hard to recharge most my cable not worksMingchiThere are a few issues:
1. It’s hard to recharge the device, most of my cables don’t work with it.
2. The indicator light is too bright and affects my sleep quality.
3. The button is difficult to locate in the dark.
Will not work. Trust the reviews. CelesteDespite the reviews of people saying it will turn off after 5 seconds I bought the pink one and hoped for the best. Not even a month of use and it has stopped working. Light turns off after a few seconds. Will be returning and not purchasing another. Incredibly disappointing.
Buy something else lolAutumnIdk why this was made lol. Like its really cute but you have to have rechargeable batteries installed for it to work, even with it plugged in. If you dont have any batteries in it, the light flickers on for a second, then turns off. It actually makes no sense lmao. It could very easily be soldered to bypass that tho but like, why bother
