Step 1: Choose the type of lighting for the inside

Wardrobe lighting illuminates the inside of your closet, making it easy to pick the right items. We offer different types of lighting for inside your wardrobe:

Step 2: Choose your driver

If you want to connect multiple light sources in your wardrobe and control all the lighting at the same time, you need a driver. You mount this driver on top of the wardrobe and connect it to the light sources using connection cables.

  • With the ANSLUTA basic driver, you can connect up to 6 light sources at once and control them with a single physical switch — including a motion sensor.
  • With the TRÅDFRI smart driver, you can connect, dim and control your lighting remotely — also with a motion sensor. It works with a remote control or via the IKEA Home smart app in combination with the DIRIGERA hub. For this, you need the appropriate connection cables.

If you purchased ROLFSTORP, KÖLVATTEN or GÖMPYSSLING lighting, you don’t need a driver.

Step 3: Add exterior cabinet lighting

If you want to add extra lighting to the outside of your wardrobe, choose external wardrobe lighting with an adjustable arm or head. These lamps let you illuminate any spot you want in your wardrobe.

For these convenient lamps, you need a TRÅDFRI driver, connection cables and a remote control.
