Style Over Substance: A Frustratingly Rusted MessDamienI bought the IKEA Silvtjarn dispenser for a clean, modern look, but it has been a total disappointment. Even though it sits in a dry toilet area, it rusts almost immediately just from the minimal water on your hands when you push the head. It is unacceptable for a bathroom accessory to corrode from basic, everyday use.
Beyond the rust, the design is deeply flawed. The internal hose is far too short, causing the soap to drip directly onto the dispenser body instead of into your hand. You’re constantly left wiping down the unit or awkwardly contorting your hand just to catch the soap.
This product fails at its two most basic functions: staying clean and actually dispensing soap. Save yourself the headache and buy something else.
