Minimalistic and convenient

Works perfect for my kitchen space. Bought two used for drying racks for my dishes. I appreciate that it fits plates with a lip and that they are small enough to put away when not in use.

Much prettier than a plastic tray

With a dishwasher I don't much use the full drain rack and tray, so this rack plus a drying mat (such as IKEA sells) for the occasional hand-washable is a great excuse to ditch the old setup and reclaim a lot of counter space.

I really like the Ostbit. Instead of using it to hold plates, I've placed it on my sideboard to display framed art. Love it!

What is bamboo?

Strong, flexible and one of the world's fastest growing plants – bamboo has many uses that make it an excellent renewable material. It’s a type of grass and usually grows without the need for fertilizers or irrigation. After being harvested, it grows new shoots that are ready for harvesting after 4-6 years. At IKEA we use bamboo for items like furniture, bathroom decor, baskets and lamps – and we are constantly exploring more areas of use for this versatile material.
