Good non-stick, horrible handleEvertonThe non-stick coating is very good, however, as other reviewers mentioned, the handle gets very hot in just a few seconds and becomes untouchable. I'm amazed that IKEA design and production teams did not test for such a basic case.2

What is sol-gel ceramic non-stick coating?

Sol-gel non-stick is often called ceramic coating and is an increasingly common replacement for other non-stick coatings in frying pans. It comprises mostly of silica and is created by applying a gel-like solution to the product and drying it in an oven. The result is a hard, glossy surface with non-stick properties. Sol-gel can be produced in different colours, it withstands high heat, is easy to use and clean – and allows cooking with little or no fat.
