Good set of cooking pansRhianI like these pans. They seem to be a good quality and they work well on my induction stove. I am not sure about the glass lids. It is nice to see the items cooking inside but it is a bit of a challenge to store as I don’t want to break them. But I am sure I will find a solution.4

What is sol-gel ceramic non-stick coating?

Sol-gel non-stick is often called ceramic coating and is an increasingly common replacement for other non-stick coatings in frying pans. It comprises mostly of silica and is created by applying a gel-like solution to the product and drying it in an oven. The result is a hard, glossy surface with non-stick properties. Sol-gel can be produced in different colours, it withstands high heat, is easy to use and clean – and allows cooking with little or no fat.
