After 70 years, it's time to turn the page and say goodbye to the IKEA catalog. Over the years the catalog has become a loved IKEA icon. With the catalogus, we had the opportunity to reach and inspire people across the entire world with ideas and products for at home.

We had to give this decision a lot of thought, because this is an emotional goodbye for us. The print IKEA catalog was first published in 1951, when Ingvar Kamprad just started his small but growing IKEA company.

But people shop differently these days, compared to when we started with the catalog. Online became very important, of course. That's why we're grabbing all digital chances, and that means stopping with the IKEA catalog too. In the past year IKEA Netherlands already tested with spreading the catalog on a much smaller scale.
