At IKEA, we think everyone deserves a well-designed, functional home – and that paying for it shouldn’t be difficult. That’s why we have multiple payment options for in-store and online shopping.

How to pay at IKEA
Payment options online
For online shopping on IKEA.nl and the IKEA App you can also pay in different ways. When you pay for the products in your shopping bag, you can choose one of the below payment methods.
- iDeal - Pay via your bank's trusted online payment environment.
- Apple Pay - If you have added a creditcard to your Apple Wallet, you can use Apple Pay to shop online.

Visa, Mastercard & American Express - The amount will be reserved on your credit card and charged as soon as your order is confirmed. When you pay by credit card, we will ask you to enter the 3d Secure Code. If you don't have a 3d Secure Code yet, you will automatically be redirected to your credit card company's website so that you can create a code.
- PayPal
- Gift or refund card - Pay with the IKEA gift or refund card in our online store. Enter the card number of your gift or refund card in the payment step and you'll see whether there is a remaining balance to pay. Check your giftcard balance here.
- Pay in three instalments with Oney - We offer you the possibility to pay in three instalments for online purchases between 300.- and 3000.-, without additional costs. The first payment is completed at the time of your purchase and the remaining payments 30 and 60 days later. Click here to read more.
- Paying later with Klarna - Pay within 30 days of delivery of your order. You'll receive your invoice from Klarna by email within 1 week of delivery. You then you have 30 days to pay the amount to Klarna via iDeal or by bank transfer. Klarna is currently only available as a payment method for orders up to 2500.-. Klarna has its own acceptance policy over which we have no influence. If your Klarna payment is not accepted and you want to know why, you can contact Klarna directly via klarna.nl. Payment options store
You can pay in different ways in the store. It is not possible to pay in installments.
- Apple Pay - If you have added a debit or creditcard to your Apple Wallet, you can use Apple Pay to pay contactless in store.
- Visa, MasterCard & American Express
- Maestro or Vpay debit cards - Pay with your physical card or via Apple Pay Wallet.
- Gift or refund card
- Cash - At nearly all self-scan cash registers you can pay with cash*. Only at IKEA Delft this is not offered. At regular cash registers – only available at IKEA Delft – you can pay with cash, a debit or credit card.

* At the cash registers you can see which banknotes you can use to pay. We accept a maximum of 3.000.- in cash per transaction.
Refunds
In order to reduce the risk of fraud as much as possible, the amount is always refunded via the payment method used online.
If you have chosen to pay later via Klarna, the refund or settlement of the outstanding invoice will take place via Klarna. We do not refund cash. If you have paid with a gift or store credit, this will also be refunded on a gift card.
Invoice
Do you need an invoice for your IKEA purchases? Easily convert your receipt online to a valid invoice. You will receive the invoice immediately by e-mail.
