How do I maintain my ÄPPLARÖ/NÄMMARÖ garden furniture?
Of course, you want to keep your ÄPPLARÖ/NÄMMARÖ garden furniture beautiful for as long as possible. To maintain your furniture, we recommend that you keep your furniture clean, do not leave it outside unnecessarily and treat it regularly with wood stain.
For extra durability and enjoying the natural look of the wood, the furniture has been pre-treated with a layer of colourless wood stain.
To prevent the surface from drying out and moisture from penetrating into the wood, we recommend that you treat the furniture regularly with stain. A glaze (sometimes also called stain) is dirt and water resistant and allows the wood to breathe, so that water vapor can escape. Wood stain is not waterproof. When furniture gets wet, water can get into the wood. This causes the glaze layer to crack or peel. Water can then penetrate the wood, which can cause wood to crack over time.
You can regularly clean your ÄPPLARÖ furniture with a mild soap solution and dry with a dry, clean cloth.
