Enjoy a more convenient IKEA shopping experience with our generous return policy

Even if you don't like what you buy from IKEA, you have plenty of time.

Reasonable Return Policy

The terms and conditions set forth in this return policy apply to all purchases made yourself at IKEA stores in Korea and on the website and application.
*Buyback products and ASIS products are not allow exchange.
*For IKEA Food, it can only be room temperature products purchased at IKEA Swedish Food Market which are unopened products within 21 days of expiration date. And You must visit Return and Exchange area in IKEA Store with a proof of purchase.

*Return policy will not apply if you are not the person who purchased the product.

*If purchased item is transported directly from the store, we will consider the damage that may occur during storage and transportation process in applying the policy.

IKEA takes customer satisfaction after purchase very seriously. If you are not completely satisfied with the product or change your mind, we will refund you once you bring the receipt (proof of purchase), payment method at the time of purchase, and the product within 365 days.

Unused products can be refunded in full after simply opening. For more information, please see “How much will I get if I get a refund?” below.

If the refund conditions are not met, the refund will not be made using the same payment method as when you purchased the product and may be replaced by product exchange or receiving an IKEA refund card.

This policy applies if you change your mind and is in addition to your statutory rights and IKEA commercial warranty. We reserve the right to return a product to IKEA at any time if it is defective or not in the same condition as the manual.

The daily return quantity limit is:For furniture, up to 80 boxes in a flat package. In the case of small items, up to 50 pcs in one box, up to 10 boxes can be returned. The total returned product can be up to 3 CBM in volume and 1200 kg in weight.

How much will I get if I get a refund?

The amount paid with the credit or debit card or IKEA refund card used to purchase the product will be refunded. Refund method may change depending on payment method. If the value of the product has decreased due to product damage, IKEA reserves the right to deduct from the refund amount as follows.

  • Unopened or simply opened but unassembled/unused products can be fully refunded within 365 days from the date of purchase.
  • The standard of unused after simple opening is “Unassembled, no feeling of use- No stains, scratches, etc. ”For products sold without packaging, it means Tack is not removed, the product description and notice sticker are attached in status of product free from wear, tear, stains, scratches, etc.”
  • If it is assembled but available for resale, the following standards will be applied.
    • When returning within 30 days from the date of purchase, 20% of the purchase amount will be deducted and refund as a refund card.
    • When returning within 60 days after 30 days from the date of purchase, 30% of the purchase amount will be deducted and refund as a refund card.
    • When returning within 90 days after 60 days from the date of purchase, 40% of the purchase amount will be deducted and refund as a refund card.
    • In case of return after 90 days from the date of purchase, 70% of the purchase amount will be deducted and refund as a refund card or a buyback service can be applied.

 

*Mattresses are excluded from the above depreciation.
*If you have purchased a delivery service, a deduction rate will be applied based on the delivery completion date.
*ASIS products are also subject to a deduction rate.
*In case of Return through IKEA Customer Service Center without visiting store, refund is depend on product condition once confirmed after it is received in IKEA Store.

*Depending on the payment method, the refund amount processing schedule may differ. If you have not received a refund after 7 business days after canceling your order, please contact IKEA Customer Support Center (1670-4532 without area code).

Exchange mattress once

We hope that IKEA's new mattress will give you a good night's sleep and rest.

If you are still not satisfied with the product after about 90 days of adaptation, please bring proof of purchase and the mattress to the store.

We will issue a refund card for one-time exchange for another mattress.

If you are exchanging for a higher priced mattress, you only need to pay the difference between the original product receipt and the price of the selected replacement product.

If the price of the replacement mattress is lower, the IKEA refund card will be issued for future purchase.

Applies to all new mattress, not to ESPEVÄR bed bases, slatted bed bases and mattress pads.

Mattresses that are dirty or heavily soiled cannot be replaced.

*In order to prevent further damage to the mattress, it is repackaged in a plastic pack and collected then proceed exchange or return.

We ask for your cooperation so that IKEA partner staff can visit and return it in repackaged condition.

When returning to the store, you can save the sustainable earth and environment by receiving a repackaging plastic pack in advance at the exchange & refund corner in the store and packaging it for exchange or return! Damaged or contaminated products may not allow exchange or return. The plastic bag provided when visiting the store will no longer be provided from December 1, 2022.

How do I refund a product?

For the convenience of our customers, we provide two refund methods as below.

  1. You can receive a refund by visiting an IKEA store in Korea at any time within 365 days with the product to be refunded, the card you paid for at the time of purchase, and the receipt (proof of purchase). (Exchange/refund is not possible at IKEA Planning Studio Cheonho and Sindorim).
  2. Having trouble visiting the store? We can collect the product through IKEA Partner-Delivery company. The return cost is the same as the shipping cost, and if you would like to request a return, please contact IKEA Customer Service Center

What preparations are required to use the collection service?

In order to simplify the collection process, we ask IKEA to provide as much detail as possible about your delivery address and any relevant details (the floor from which you need to collect the product, whether there is a narrow enquiry, etc.). You must also agree to have appropriate methods of access to the designated collection location.

If the person in charge believes that the collection could result in damage to the goods or the customer's property, he or she may notify the customer and record these concerns in the collection documentation. If you have any concerns but wish to have the product collected by the person in charge though, IKEA is not responsible for any damage or breakage incurred during the collection process (provided that reasonable care has been taken in the collection process).

In addition, the collection document provided by the representative must be signed by the customer confirming that the collection has been carried out. If the customer cannot personally verify the collection process, he or she may appoint an adult representative to act on his/her behalf.

When collecting the product, separate packaging is required so that the quantity and condition of the product can be identified. If the above conditions are not met, return would be not allowed.

Can I cancel my service order?

If you have ordered services such as delivery, assembly or installation, you may cancel your order up to the point of cancellation specified in the respective terms of service. The respective terms of service can be found here.

If the customer has expressly consented to the commencement of the service and has been informed in advance that the customer has no right to cancel the service performed.

From January 1, 2021, if you request to cancel delivery after the product is shipped, a return fee of KRW 29,000 including shipping fee will be charged. (It will be refunded after deducting the return cost of 29,000 won from the shipping cost.)
