Waffles with salmon & cream cheese

Anyone can whip up this simple yet sophisticated combination of waffles, smoked salmon, and cream cheese – a perfect afternoon tea treat or savoury snack for parties.

Ingredients

Waffles with salmon & cream cheese

1 pkg (12 pcs) VÅFFLOR waffles

1 pkg SJÖRAPPORT cold smoked salmon

200 g cream cheese

12 small lettuce leaves

1 bunch of dill

Salt

Pepper, freshly ground

Step by step:

  1. Heat your oven according to the package instructions.
  2. Meanwhile, chop the dill roughly.
  3. Place the waffles on a baking sheet lined with baking paper and heat them until golden.
  4. Spread approximately one teaspoon of cream cheese on each waffle.
  5. Place a lettuce leaf onto each waffle, followed by a few slices of salmon. Garnish with dill and season with pepper.
  6. Tip! These waffles are perfect when having guests over, but also for a solo snack – heat a couple of waffles in the toaster, and add whatever you can find in the fridge.
