This month’s trend colour: light blue

Serenity, purity, vastness, and a sense of balance and harmony that is reminiscent of the sky and the ocean – all this is conveyed by the colour blue. And that’s why this colour is also a particularly popular choice for interiors and goes well with any style – from modern to minimalist. Be sure to combine the colour carefully to give your environment a chic and refined look that continues to radiate cosiness and comfort.

Light tones: from pastel blue to baby blue

Light blue is the perfect hue for creating a haven of peace and comfort in the midst of our hectic, stressful world. Just think of the wonderfully gentle feeling you get when you see a clear blue sky in summer – relaxed, peaceful and at one with nature. Take care when choosing light blue though, as this shade can look quite sweet and babyish. For the walls, you should choose an elegant shade – a blue with a hint of grey, lilac or even green.

Ideas for bringing more blue into your bedroom

Using accessories is an easy way to create accents. This gives your bedroom a welcoming and colourful look. A further bonus: the pale tones automatically make small rooms look larger. Using blue textiles, such as curtains or bed linen, you can create a relaxing effect and a summery atmosphere.

Ideas for bringing more blue into your living room

Create a peaceful atmosphere with this trend colour by also combining it with other blue tones, such as navy or royal blue. Large areas on walls or cabinet fronts provide calm and structure, while textiles make for comfort and softness.
