One sofa, two styles: how to bring autumn trend colours into your living room

Autumn is moving into our homes. New colours, stylish textiles and decorative elements that match the season will give your living room a new look in no time. Do you prefer trendy shades of cream and beige or more classic autumn colours? Here we show you two different styles for a sofa.

A sofa look in beige

After the loud, warm summer days full of activities outside the home, the contemplative season is now coming gently and on quiet paws: just like the look of this living room. Tone-in-tone in trendy shades of beige and wool white, this style gives us a soft and elegant cosiness. This calm colour palette exudes a harmonious atmosphere so that you can almost smell the vanilla scent of freshly baked biscuits.

Textiles

To create this look in your home, play with different cushion covers in different shades of white and beige and textiles that have a different texture and feel.

To match the look, a soft plaid with a block pattern in cream and grey-beige and playful fringes invites you to snuggle up.

Place a beautiful, generous basket made of natural fibres next to the sofa. Use it to store various plaids and extra cushions for your guests.

If you own a SÖDERHAMN sofa, you can also give your sofa the beige look in just a few simple steps: this separate cover makes it easy.

Decoration and Accessories

The details are the be-all and end-all, because they give the living room a unique, personal character. DIY tip: You can easily give the FULLTALIG candlestick a new colour with spray paint. We have chosen a beige shade to match the look.

Small side tables in beige and latte shades with a nice decoration, candles and vases and last but not least the still trendy dried grasses add the finishing touch to the living room.

DIY tip: We made the side table ourselves very easily. All you need is a lampshade and a tray to place it on.

A sofa look in classic autumn colours

Do you like autumn with its strong, earthy reds, yellows and browns? Then you can let off steam with this look.

Textiles

Reach into the cushion box and pick out beautiful cushion covers in lovely rusty red tones and warm mustard yellow. As a contrast, deep black and dark grey tones look the best. This colour combination conveys optimism and spreads a cosy atmosphere of peace and comfort.

Work with different textile textures and fabrics here too: the alternation of linen, velvet and textured surfaces make for an exciting mix.

Deko und Accessoires

Elemente wie Beistelltische, Bilderrahmen, Kerzenständer und Lampen in tiefem Schwarz geben dem Raum einen interessanten Kontrast.

You decorate skilfully by creating small groups of different but not too many products. These consist of different materials and shapes. Drape them so that the larger elements are at the back and the smaller ones are grouped in front in a pyramid shape.

The small, round table is actually a lampshade with a tray on top - an original idea to copy.

Couldn't find a suitable lampshade for the arc lamp? We have restyled it with a beautiful rust red from a spray can. Now it fits in wonderfully with our autumn mood and is even unique.

We were also particularly creative with the large picture. This consists of a huge picture frame in which we have clamped a thin textured carpet. You can then simply paint your favourite subject on it with a brush and acrylic paint.
