Living 2025: The new interior trends - fresh from the world's design fairs

What stays, what comes - and what touches? At the international interior design fairs in Milan, Paris and Stockholm, the living trends that will transform our homes this year are emerging. 2025 is characterised by soft elegance, natural calm and bold accents: Blue brings depth and clarity, glass plays with light and transparency, bamboo lends lightness. Warm neutral tones create a sense of security, while round shapes invite us to take a deep breath.

Blue is the colour of the hour

Blue is the trend colour of 2025 - from cobalt blue to navy blue, it is available in all its facets. At international trade fairs such as the Salone del Mobile and Maison & Objet, it stands for clarity, calm and renewal. In a time of upheaval, blue offers orientation and serenity. Especially in combination with natural materials such as wood or linen, the colour unfolds its full effect - sometimes subtle, sometimes powerful. A touch of blue is enough - or just a lot of it.

Natural. Elegant. In the now. Camel, beige and ochre

.

Good news for all vanilla girls and fans of warm neutrals. Camel, beige and ochre will continue to set the tone in interiors in 2025/2026 - and prove that natural tones are anything but neutral. These colours radiate calm, warmth and understatement and can be perfectly integrated into any interior concept - from Scandinavian clean to cozy boho.the current design fairs show that beige is no longer a basic, but a conscious style choice. Camel brings elegance into play, while ochre with an earthy undertone provides depth and character. Together, they create a harmonious world of colour that is timeless - and absolutely on trend at the same time

Glass rethought: refined transparency meets design

.

Glass is celebrating its big comeback - and not just as a classic window element, but also as a style-defining design element in interiors. Whether ribbed, tinted, mirrored or clear: glass brings lightness and depth to the room and allows a subtle glimpse of what is hidden behind it. The trend plays with contrasts: visibility meets restraint, function meets aesthetics. Whether for displaying beautiful things or as a semi-transparent room solution - glass allows rooms to breathe and brings light, depth and sophistication into the home.

Bamboo - light, natural, on trend

Bamboo has long since evolved from a classic outdoor material to a real interior star. With its light, warm appearance and fine grain, it brings lightness and tranquillity to modern living spaces. Bamboo plays a central role in the popular Japandi style in particular, which combines Scandinavian simplicity with Japanese harmony: as an element that combines naturalness, function and timeless aesthetics.

Bamboo combines particularly well with light colours, linen fabrics and clean lines - ideal for anyone who wants to give their home a calm, grounded look without sacrificing modernity.

Round shapes - curved elegance dominates

Round shapes are the centrepiece of modern interior design in 2025/2026. Soft contours, flowing lines and organic curves create an atmosphere full of harmony and well-being. They invite you to linger, have a calming effect and turn any room into an inviting oasis of well-being, whether as a curved sofa, round side table or gently shaped decorative elements - curves bring movement into the interior without being dominant. They break up the severity of straight lines, create balance and set elegant accents that make the home noticeably cosier.
