DIY Lampshade: Give your old lamp a Boho makeover

Do you also come across old lamps in your home or in thrift stores wondering how you can give them a new look? And who doesn't like homemade decoration anyways? So what about a little DIY that``  s not only pretty in your home but also a stylish and unique interior gift idea.

What you need:

  • A white lampshade in the size of your choice (e.g. SKOTTORP)
  • LED light bulb
  • Natural yarn, cord or other rope-like material
  • Hot glue or adhesive tape
  • A pair of scissors

How to:

We chose a natural yarn for this DIY. If you use a very thin cord, you will need to wind it much longer than if you use a thicker one. Alternatively, use double-sided tape on both sides of the shade to attach the rope. Wrap the rope around the lampshade. Once you have completely wrapped it, it is best to put it aside to dry. Reassemble the lamp base and shade - add a suitable bulb and the makeover is complete!
