DIY : Balloon lamp for kids room

Brighten up the gloomy winter days and give your little ones some light in the nursery. @lauraundkids shows you how you can easily create this lovely balloon lamp with a few IKEA products. Try it out!

What you need:

 

  • REGNSKUR Pendant lamp shade
  • GRÅVACKA Cord set for bulb 
  • SOLHETTA LED light bulb 
  • KELGRIS soft toy
  • ÖSTERNÄS Leather handle  (pack of 2)
  • LURPASSA Basket with lid 
  • Cord- Wooden beads

Instructions:

Step 1

String the wooden beads onto four strings of equal length.

Step 2

Tie each string to a corner of the basket by pushing the needle through the weave of the basket.

Step 3

Now assemble the pendant lamp according to the instructions. (The instructions can be found on the REGNSKUR Pendant lamp shade product page)

Step 4

Pull the fabric over the metal structure of the lamp and close it.

Step 5

Attach the leather handles to both sides of the basket by also pushing the screw through the weave of the basket. When the handles hang slightly forward, you can fix them with hot glue.

Step 6

Now attach the strings to the hanging lampshade. You can tie two strings at a time inside the light. Make sure that the basket hangs horizontally at the end.

Step 7

Put the soft toys in the basket ...

Step 8

... and let them fly through your children`s room.
