Create an outdoor wedding party in Boho Style

Want to add a touch of boho to your wedding? From dreamy table decorations to a cool wedding bar, we'll show you how to create a memorable and romantic outdoor party with a few simple DIY ideas.

How it works:

The pretty picnic tablescape

The centrepiece of your boho wedding party is the long, festively decorated picnic table. By adding different cushions and deep poufs for seating, it becomes a real eye-catcher and provides super cosy seating for your guests. For the table, you need a few wooden boards (we used LAGKAPTEN table tops), some wooden boxes and a long piece of white fabric, depending on the length you want.

A table setting with vases of flowers in the middle and place settings with UPPLAGA plates, SÄLLSKAPLIG crystal bowls and glasses and VALLASÅN towels.
Placemats made of natural materials are the basis of your table composition. Place a variety of romantic tableware on them, combined with crystal glasses and bowls. Decorate with many small meadow flower bouquets and candles.

A small menu card and rolls with a lovely decoration of a simple string and a sprig of rosemary adorn each individual place setting.
And when the sun goes down, a long string of lights above the table creates a beautiful atmosphere.

So the evening can come.

The cosy canopy corner

Continue to celebrate comfortably under a romantic canopy. Place lots of soft cushions and cosy blankets underneath for a fairytale lounge corner.

For the final touch - don't forget the fairy lights.

The romantic photo-booth

A large BJÖRKSTA picture frame that is attached to a tree, is covered with LILL net curtains to create a DIY Photobooth.

It doesn't get more romantic than this. Drape a large BJÖRKSTA picture frame with embroidered tulle to create the perfect setting for an unforgettable photo of your party guests.

The creative photo memory wall

To capture all the beautiful moments, get a Polaroid camera ready and let your guests snap away.

The snapshots can be attached with small clips to a metal wire, wrapped around a tree. This also gives the tree a festive dress and turns it into a decorative photo gallery with your memories of this special day.

The perfect wedding bar

A richly decorated bar provides refreshments and snacks. Two trestles, a board and a romantically draped lace curtain become the stage for your appetisers and drinks.

A rosemary plant placed inside a woven basket, with a picture framed used as a sign.
With woven baskets and small wooden boxes, you can create different heights on the bar and thus create more space for snacks and drinks.
Three glasses filled with crackers, placed on top of a woven basket.
Place salty snacks in small decorated glasses. To make the snacks look more decorative, you can decorate the jars with a simple string and nice, dry twigs.
Two VARDAGEN jars filled with lemonade and fruit, sitting on top of a sled.
Large carafes with a tap containing fruity homemade lemonades are not only refreshing but also decorative.
A BEGÄRLIG Vase filled with popcorn and three small BLANDA MATT bowls.
Give it a unique touch, by filling Popcorn in a large glass. Now everyone can help themselves.
An ARV BRÖLLOP serving stand filled with canapés.
A beautiful cake platter or étagère can be used to present delicious canapés.

The decorative hanging lanterns

Dreamy hanging lanterns bathe the evening in atmospheric light. All you need are jars, cord and tea lights. To brighten up the jars a little, spray the bottom of the jar with a light pastel colour.

Hang the lanterns at different heights in the trees. Pay particular attention to ensuring that the lanterns are at a safe distance from the branches.
And when it gets dark, the lanterns create a magical atmosphere.

We hope you have a wonderful celebration!
