A summer twist on the table: Three styles to copy

In the warm summer season, people especially like to get together with friends and families. The sun is shining, the air is warm and you could spend hours on the balcony, terrace or by the open window. How about a delicious menu or a few fresh appetisers on a beautifully decorated summer table? We have three decorative styles that will put you in a good mood and are easy to copy.

Beach Chic

This decoration inspiration in beach style looks elegant and casual at the same time. Use a wide strip of fabric in the typical maritime block stripe look as a runner and scatter shells and driftwood from your last beach holiday on it. Combine this with white crockery and wooden bowls, saucers and lanterns to create a nonchalant atmosphere reminiscent of the south of France. Add fresh mussels, warm bread and a glass of white wine and the savoir-vivre is perfect.

Use a tea towel with blue stripes as a napkin. Tie a knot around it with a coarse coconut string and the navy look is ready.

Colourful summer meadow

Do you love picnics in the countryside? Then try this romantic table decoration at home. The most important essentials are colourful, self-picked flower bouquets that you put in different vases and spread all over the table. The tablecloth is made of linen and the placemats of woven seaweed. The look is natural and authentic.

When it comes to tableware, you can mix elegant glasses with rustic ceramic plates for a cheerful and playful look. The black tomatoes that we have arranged on the table are also eye-catching.

Tropical Vibes

With this table decoration, your guests will feel like they are on a tropical Caribbean island - exotic fruits and flowers as well as tableware and accessories in bright and pastel colours will make sure of that. A fruity punch will cool you down. Serve it in a tall glass with a bamboo straw.

With southern rhythms in the background, your guests will feel like they are on a mini holiday.

Napkin rings with an (artificial) tropical flower take up the theme and are a great eye-catcher. You can easily make them yourself: Attach a wire to the flower head and then bend it into a ring.
