Colours & Materials

While the classic oriental look is dominated by bold colours, the more airy boho look brings subtle sand and pastel shades. A light beige creates the ideal base colour for the look. As an accent colour, we have combined a warm rusty orange with it. For the textiles as well as the decorative objects, the materials should be chosen carefully - plastic and polyester do not support the look. You should opt for natural materials such as linen, cotton, ceramics, wood and glass.

Furniture

Deep and cosy lounge furniture with simple lines, made of natural materials such as wood or rattan, are the focal point of our oriental terrace. Poufs and cushions are a must. With a canopy or alternatively a large parasol, you can set up a shaded area. Small tables - whether round or square, made of metal or wood - are ideal for fresh snacks and cool drinks, so that you can lean back, relax and enjoy that holiday feeling at home. Throw in some cushions and blankets to relax and complete the look.

Decoration and accessories

With its playful patterns and natural materials, the oriental boho style also exudes a little hippie atmosphere. The easiest way to achieve this look is to combine decorative objects such as lampions, lanterns, vases or bowls. A woven basket can be used to store warm blankets in case it gets chilly at night. Tassels, embroidery and macramé are also back in fashion and easy to make.

Plants

By choosing the right plants, we can emphasise the oriental boho style. Cacti create a desert charm, palms and banana plants are practical helpers as they provide shade. Arrange your plants lovingly in small groups. One or two pots of fresh peppermint or lavender not only keep mosquitoes away, but are also suitable for flavouring drinks and oriental dishes. Small tables or plant stands on which you can place decorative objects, small lanterns or candle holders are also perfect.
