Create a heartwarming gift for the host

Surprise your hardworking and gracious host with these thoughtful gifts that go beyond the ordinary flower bouquet. The best part? These presents can be reused, so the memories will last a long time!

1. Give a delicious, homemade breadbox

Save your host time and energy with this ready-to-serve gift. Make your own butter using herbs, spices, nuts and berries… or buy it already made (we won’t tell anyone). Add your favourite bread. These classic glass jars can be used again for bath salts or candy.

The IKEA KNAGGLIG breadbox is made of smooth and recyclable light pine wood and can be used as a food storage box after your friend finishes what’s inside.
Show up to your friend or loved one’s party with these unique and long lasting gift ideas, like a warm breadbox.
IKEA PROPPMÄTT beech chopping board doubles as a rustic serving tray while KORKEN glass jars can store homemade jams or your favourite sauces and spreads, making them reusable gift containers for foodies.

2. Create a decorative herb holder

Spoil the foodie host who is always busy spoiling others. Gather fresh herbs and hang them with twine on a hook rack. Wrap the gift in any extra meter fabric you have. The hooks can even be reused for other kitchen tools.

Use IKEA FULLFÖLJA black stainless steel scissors to cut gift paper and cloth to arrange your host’s present, which we did here. Tying the gift with string and a personalised tag pulls everything together.
An IKEA KARTOTEK solid pine rack is a great gift for gardening friends as an herb rack. Use the five black metal hooks to hang vegetables -- or keys, coats, and other hanging accessories.

3. Make a fun, decorative activity “calendar”

When the host is also a good friend, give them the gift of time. Write down a planned activity (movie in March!). Clip it up on a frame as a decorative display, and add pics to make it personal. Use the frame to hang keys or notes!

Wrap a present or cover a moodboard with IKEA ÖVERFLÖD gift wrapping paper, which is made of recyclable materials and designed with modern black and white striped patterns.
Use an IKEA MYRHEDEN brass wire frame as a DIY wall calendar or to-do list wallboard by clipping photos and handwritten goals with the included gold hooks.

We love to see our customers get creative with our products. Go for it! But please note that altering or modifying IKEA products so they can no longer be re-sold or used for their original purpose, means the IKEA commercial guarantees and your right to return the products will be lost.
