IKEA: Would you like to briefly introduce yourselves?
We are Gabriela and Marcel Enggist, and we will have been married for 33 years this autumn. We have four children, all of whom have already moved out. So we only have our labrador Timo and two cats to keep us busy.
IKEA: Why did you opt for a heat pump?
This house had oil heating when we bought it. Because the oil heating was still new, we didn’t rip it out and just let it be. But I was never a fan of oil heating. We wanted a heat pump again since it is the most environmentally friendly. Especially with the solar cells, I think it’s great because you can produce your own electricity.
And then it so happened that the canton made us a good offer. You get a good subsidy if you replace an oil heating system. And that was a decisive factor when it came to why we switched.
IKEA: So why did you then opt for IKEA as your heat pump partner?
I requested quotes, compared prices, and the one from IKEA ended up being the best. The whole process has been flawless from the very beginning, from the quote right through to confirmation that the installation had been scheduled.
