When you buy a new IKEA mattress, sofa or household appliance, we will be happy to take back your old furniture for a fee and recycle it for you in an environmentally friendly way. Book the service directly with your online order or bring us the products to the store.
Removal & recycling options
Removal with delivery (standard delivery)
Prices*:
Electrical appliances: CHF 50.00 (Price applies to the collection - removal is free of charge)
Mattresses: CHF 50.00
Sofas: CHF 80.00
Furniture: Starting at CHF 80.00
- Book the removal of old mattresses, sofas and electrical appliances when ordering online.
- For the removal & recycling of other furniture, please contact us.
- Any items booked for removal need to be disassembled and ready to be taken away. They must fit through any hallways and doors.
- This service is only available in conjunction with a standard delivery (not including parcel or curbside delivery). If we’re not already delivering to you, you’ll be charged an extra CHF 99.95 to cover the travel costs on top of the removal costs.
Recycling in store
Prices*:
Furniture: Between CHF 10.00 – 40.00 depending upon effort
Electrical appliances: CHF 0.00
Mattresses: Between CHF 10.00 – 40.00 depending upon effort

- Simply bring your old furniture to the IKEA Customer Service desk in store and pay there and then.

Kitchen and bathroom disassembly and disposal
Prices:
Kitchens: Starting at CHF 200.00 for one-off disposal charge + CHF 130.00 per linear metre in kitchen
Bathrooms: Starting at CHF 100.00

Buyback for used IKEA products
Some used products still have life in them. We can find a new home for your old IKEA furniture through our Secondhand Service. You can get a quick estimate for your old IKEA furniture online. Bring your items into an IKEA store, where our trained employees will be able to set the final buyback price. You’ll receive an IKEA gift card worth the remaining value right away. And your furniture will have the chance to find a new home in our Second Chance Market.
