How does solar energy work?

Solar modules collect sunlight and use it to produce direct current. The inverter monitors the solar system and converts the direct current into alternating current.

If the electricity is consumed directly, for example by the heat pump, the refrigerator, the hoover or the washing machine, it is called self-consumption.

Surplus electricity can be fed into the grid, for which one is remunerated by the electricity company. Electricity storage allows electricity produced during the day to be stored and consumed in the evening. This increases self-consumption.
