Can I get a refund of the Swiss VAT?
It is possible for diplomats and for customers who take their goods abroad.
Diplomats and customers who take goods abroad and shop online or at a store can apply for a value-added tax (VAT) refund.
Diplomats need to have spent a minimum of 100 CHF.
Customers who take their goods abroad need to have spent at least 300 CHF.
Customers who take their goods abroad need to have spent at least 300 CHF.
Important:
a. If the purchase was made in a store, the application must be submitted directly to customer service on site on the same day.
b. If the purchase was made online, please contact us with your proof of purchase and bank information.
c. If the purchase was made in a Plan and Order Point, the request will be handled by the customer service of the closest store
d. Subsequent refunds for diplomats are only possible within one month and exclusively at the consulate in Bern.
