How do I solve my Home Smart connection problem?

Discover all the tips and tricks to fix connection problems with your Home Smart products in no time.

Before you start:
Make sure that both the IKEA Home Smart App and the DIRIGERA Hub updated to the latest software version. This ensures compatibility and fixes known bugs.
  1. Check your Wi-Fi connection
    - For smooth communication, your smart products need a Strong and stable Wi-Fi connection to the hub.
    - Make sure your mobile device (smartphone or tablet) is connected to on the same Wi-Fi network like the DIRIGERA Hub.

  2. System restart for troubleshooting
    To reinitialize the entire Home Smart System, restart the following components in the order listed:
    2.1 Restart Wi-Fi router
    - Disconnect the Wi-Fi router's power cord for at least 30 seconds.
    - Plug the power cable back in to restart the router.
    2.2 Restart the DIRIGERA Hub
    - Remove the power cable from the DIRIGERA Hub.
    - Reconnect the cable to restart the IKEA hub.
    2.3 Restart your mobile device
    - Turn off your mobile phone or tablet completely.
    - Then turn it back on to delete temporary data and start again. system initialization.

  3. Integration with third-party systems
    If you are using an IKEA Home Smart product in another smart home system (e.g. Amazon Alexa, Google Home, Philips Hue Bridge) and are experiencing connection issues, please consult the respective support pages of the relevant third-party system.
