Great for young familiesLuke P.Have had the couch for about 5 years - amazing! We've had three young kids sleep, poop, pee, and throw up on it, along with coffee, tea, beer, water and other bodily and beverage fluids on it. The removable pillow and seat covers are incredible, coming 'like-new' clean in the washer! No stains or smells! Plus, as a dad, I find it incredibly comfy when 'resting my eyes', playing video games or playing with my kids. Only improvements I can suggest, could be softer arms, and machine-washable pillows and cushions. If it were maybe 1 inch higher from the floor it would greatly improve under-couch storage space - as it, it's still a useful space to store a folding chair, diapers, etc. Great product!4
Missing something to make it awesomedino a.Good sofa but the fact that you don't have the uppland footrest in stock is a big bummer, i been waiting since june 2022 and still no footrest available. This sofa is not complete without that matching footrest. The middle seat cushion seems thinner than the other 2, when i am sitting on the sofa i end up between 2 cushions and feels like your sinking between. Not worth the money paid for it, and it was 100$ less when i saw it in store, a year before buying it. More expensive and no footrest. I am returning it. The sofa cover should come with the sofa, not charged as an extra.3
I would recommend this sofaShimaI would recommend this sofa to all.5
Well built and comfortable!JeffreyWe love this sofa (and the love seat we bought about 6 months earlier)! It's very firm, which is important for my bad back, but still VERY comfortable. The cover (thick and rugged) washes very well. We've already washed it three times. Once to get the wrinkles out when we unboxed it, then a guest spilled red wine, then our cat was sick on it. Just wash and air dry. The whole boxed sofa is easy to carry through a doorway and assembly is a snap. We loved the loveseat, and now we love the sofa!5
Poor quality covers.Cecile S.I bought two three seater couches during the pandemic when nothing else was in stock. I have had them for a year and the green covers have faded where people sit down including where people’s legs are. They looked good for only a few months and then got little fuzz balls on them. I now have to purchase new covers at a year old. Two adults live here so not a lot of wear and tear. So disappointing. Ikea you can do better.1
Comfort doesn’t lastVALERIE B.I’ve tried this couch twice and love the look and wash ability of the cover . But the most important aspect of any couch is it’s comfort level . This couch loses its support about 6 months in and even with pillows we find it to be quite hard to use . What a great couch if it would last longer1
Poor cover qualitysanaz t.Soon after I purchased it, the cover started to wear out. Therefore, it looks old and of low quality.1

An affordable sofaChloeI bought this sofa for my mom. For the price the sofa os decent. All the cushions are lumpy thugh and it shows through the material, hopefully they will be massaged out.4
amazing!Lauren C.This couch is so comfy and easy to put together. I love how the fabric is sold separately so that you could switch the colour of the couch easily if you wanted to. I am super pleased with this product.5
Uppland Sofa ❤️LISAI am so thrilled with my sofa. I was sceptical at first about a sofa that comes in a box thinking it wouldn't be sturdy or easy to put together. I was wrong. First, it was delivered in 2 days, which nowadays is unheard of. 2nd, we put it together in minutes, not hours. The hardest part was putting the slipcovers on. They fit snugly and look awesome and the fact everything is washable is just another bonus. The sofa is sturdy, yet comfy. I also bought the loveseat. I love the fact I can buy extra slipcovers in different shades to change the look at a reasonable price. Highly recommend.5
Very comfortableAshvaniVery comfortable4
Comfortable and looks greatLindseyComfortable and looks great5
Sofa is great especially forTANIASofa is great especially for the price point. Wish the ottoman was not discontinued as needed one too.5
Cover made of cheap qualityFaiza C.The sofa itself is comfortable but the cover is made of cheap material. I made the purchase only a week ago and the cover is already wearing off. 3 stars for the comfort.3
Incredibly easy to assemble! I'mWendyIncredibly easy to assemble! I'm a 66 yr old woman and did it by myself. Love both the look and comfort of this sofa.5
Love it but….terry f.I love this sofa but IKEA really disappointed when I realized the sofa cushions are not reversible. Seriously IKEA?!?! You are cheaping out, especially on the white where it’s bound to show dirt quicker than a darker colour. Would have been nice to be able to flip the cushions to give a little more time before washing. You increase the price dramatically and then cheap out.3

Our take on cotton

We use cotton in many of our products, from sofas and cushions to bed linen and mattresses. It is a soft, durable and renewable fibre that breathes and is good at absorbing moisture. All these great qualities make cotton one of our most important materials, but it isn’t without its challenges, much having to do with conventional farming methods that negatively impact the environment and poor working conditions for farmers. With our size and production volumes, we want to drive change in the cotton industry.

Working together to drive change

Each year, IKEA uses around 0.5 percent of all cotton grown around the world. This may not seem like a lot, but the number is big enough to drive change in the industry. For many years, we have been working with partners and stakeholders globally to transform conventional large-scale cotton farming and set social and environmental standards for cotton production. As an example, we helped set up the Better Cotton Initiative (BCI) who runs the world’s largest cotton sustainability programme. BCI exists to make global cotton production better for the people who produce it, better for the environment it grows in and better for the sector’s future. Today, more than 110,000 farmers have adopted more sustainable farming practices within IKEA projects.

Ensuring compliance throughout the value chain

All IKEA products are produced in accordance with the IKEA IWAY Standard, our Supplier Code of Conduct. It sets out the minimum environmental and social standards expected from our suppliers, including compliance with local laws. We do not accept any form of forced labour, child labour or treatments in breach of our supply chain requirements. Our cotton teams across the globe ensure that all cotton used in IKEA products meets the demands of compliance in our supply chain. By having teams on the ground in areas where it has previously been challenging to work responsibly, we can challenge the traditional ways of working and improve the industry. If we discover that we are acting in places where we cannot ensure our requirements are being met, we follow-up on the ground and drive change.

What is cotton?

Cotton is one of the world's most appreciated and used natural fibres. Textiles in cotton are soft, hardwearing and can be washed at high temperatures. They are also good at breathing and absorbing moisture – making them pleasant to wear close to the body. Today at IKEA we use more and more recycled cotton and strive to make sure that all the new cotton we use has been grown and produced with less and less amounts of pesticides, fertilizers and water.
