Enjoy the super comfy UPPLAND sofa with embracing feel and deep seat cushions made of pocket springs, high resilience foam and polyester fibres, adding both firm support and relaxing softness.
Reversible back cushions provide soft support for your back and two different sides to wear. Thanks to the combination of polyester fibres and cut foam the cushions will retain their shape and comfort year after year.
The cover is easy to keep clean since it is removable and can be machine washed.

ImpressiveClaireCouldn’t get the striped cover so settled on the Blue Kilanda sofa. Not disappointed but will order the light beige. It was on sale and a great buy for our cottage.
We are seniors and while the box was super heavy, it was actually quick and easy to assemble and add cover. Impressed overall. It’s stiff to sit on initially but softening as the weeks go by. Love IKEA!

Cushion support gone after 2 years UPPLANDValerieThis couch is supportive when you first buy it . Just two years later our backs are broken . I can’t tell you how much it hurts to sit on this couch . The bottom cushions have lost all support and can no longer sit on it . After two years , it should still hold up . We used lumbar pillows Even added a support underneath the seat cushions but did not help .
Great Sofas, Disappointing Replacement CoversZahiaWe’ve had these sofas for five years, and they’re still very comfortable. I wanted to replace only the covers, but I was disappointed that the new ones are made of polyester. The original fabric was much stronger, better quality, and more durable. I wish the old fabric were still available.
Love this couchLucieI have a physical disability and require a firm couch so that my body does not sink too deeply into the couch. If you like or require a good supportive couch this is a great piece of furniture.

Great Sofa!LindsayAfter using this couch for nearly a year, I can say that I am very satisfied with it! It didn’t take long to break in, and I like the fact I can wash the cover and change it if I want a fresh look. The pillows haven’t lost their shape either. Highly recommend!
Comfy and durableDoreenI was looking for a sofa that would stand up to frequent cleanings as I have two cats who think they own the place. Cat hair on furniture drives me crazy, so this sofa has to stand up to daily vacuuming. It does!

Impossible to remove cover for washingCindyWe owned the previous model of this sofa and loved the washability. This model which we had assembled by task rabbit is nearly impossible to remove the couch cover. The arms and back are too tight to allow the covers to slip off. I have to flip the couch on its back and loosen the bolts to achieve the wiggle room to remove the covers. It’s a nightmare and cannot give a negative enough review for that alone.
Bring Back Ektorp!SarahThis sofa is so disappointing. I own the complete Ektorp series (sofa, loveseat and chairs) and absolutely love every piece. I (wrongfully) assumed that the Uppland would be just as good. However, the seat cushions are much too high and firm, and don’t allow you to sit comfortably against the arm rest, as it is too short with the ridiculous height of the seat cushions. The back cushions are the opposite — they stayed as flat as they were in the vacuum sealed bag and the don’t fill out the cushion covers. If only we could somehow more evenly disperse the padding between the seat and back cushions. As others have said, I get a back ache sitting on this sofa. Lastly, as others have said, the fabric of the cushion covers is cheap and scratchy. I’m so disappointed. If it wasn’t such a pain to take apart and return, I would do so in a heartbeat. Please bring back the Ektorp!!! Honestly, I don’t know why you discontinued it and replaced it with this trash.
Almost perfectKimWe bought the sofa to replace a similar style sofa that was not purchased at IKEA so we were able to use the back cushion inserts from that sofa in the UPPLAND, which was good because they were much plumper and cushier than the UPPLAND back cushions. This is the only negative we have to say about the sofa. The cushions are not great quality. They should have more padding and better materials. However we realize the UPPLAND sofa is a budget sofa and didn't really expect it to be constructed of expensive materials. Positives are that the sofa was super easy to put together and the covers are nice quality. We also bought the green cover. We prefer the material of the green cover as it is softer and the blue seems to collect every bit of lint but I am quite impressed with the construction and quality of the covers.
better than expectedErinvery easy to assemble! The hardest part was getting the box out of my apt. Firm but comfortable pillows, excellent height, perfect fit for me.
Love this couchShayleenI used to own the Ektorp collection and loved it . This is the closest thing to it. Assembly was reasonably easy considering I was alone to do it. However the screws (114509) in # 5 were not long enough to be able to add the washer (100837) and the bolt (100712) . I was able to add the bolt directly. I hope this doesnt disturb anything. Can't wait for the cushions to take shape fully to add the cover and enjoy my new couch. I also noticed the covers had a strong chemical odor to them. Not very pleasant. Will need to air them out.
FinallyRandallIf you have longer legs, so many sofas at IKEA are low and cause back pain when you sit down. I was so happy to find this sofa. We've had it for a few months and it is so much more enjoyable to be at home. I've an Ikea customer for almlst 50 years, and I really hope it means something to say that this is one of the best products I have ever seen.
