The cover is easy to keep clean since it is removable and can be machine washed.

ImpressiveClaireCouldn’t get the striped cover so settled on the Blue Kilanda sofa. Not disappointed but will order the light beige. It was on sale and a great buy for our cottage.
We are seniors and while the box was super heavy, it was actually quick and easy to assemble and add cover. Impressed overall. It’s stiff to sit on initially but softening as the weeks go by. Love IKEA!
Cushion support gone after 2 years UPPLANDValerieThis couch is supportive when you first buy it . Just two years later our backs are broken . I can’t tell you how much it hurts to sit on this couch . The bottom cushions have lost all support and can no longer sit on it . After two years , it should still hold up . We used lumbar pillows Even added a support underneath the seat cushions but did not help .
Great Sofas, Disappointing Replacement CoversZahiaWe’ve had these sofas for five years, and they’re still very comfortable. I wanted to replace only the covers, but I was disappointed that the new ones are made of polyester. The original fabric was much stronger, better quality, and more durable. I wish the old fabric were still available.
Comfortable CouchBogdanGreat size, fits three people easily. Wish the padding was a bit puffer, as the covers are not snug. -1 star for that.

Great Sofa!LindsayAfter using this couch for nearly a year, I can say that I am very satisfied with it! It didn’t take long to break in, and I like the fact I can wash the cover and change it if I want a fresh look. The pillows haven’t lost their shape either. Highly recommend!

Impossible to remove cover for washingCindyWe owned the previous model of this sofa and loved the washability. This model which we had assembled by task rabbit is nearly impossible to remove the couch cover. The arms and back are too tight to allow the covers to slip off. I have to flip the couch on its back and loosen the bolts to achieve the wiggle room to remove the covers. It’s a nightmare and cannot give a negative enough review for that alone.
better than expectedErinvery easy to assemble! The hardest part was getting the box out of my apt. Firm but comfortable pillows, excellent height, perfect fit for me.
FinallyRandallIf you have longer legs, so many sofas at IKEA are low and cause back pain when you sit down. I was so happy to find this sofa. We've had it for a few months and it is so much more enjoyable to be at home. I've an Ikea customer for almlst 50 years, and I really hope it means something to say that this is one of the best products I have ever seen.
Cozy Upright Great ValueKristyWe have the 3-seat Uppland in Kilanda light beige. Initially I found the fabric scratchy on my sensitive skin but having it for about 6 months now, it's softened. We had washed the fabric initially but haven't washed it since so I imagine it may continue to soften. The fabric has also loosened a bit on the sofa which I really like because I was going for a cozy look. Something that really drew us to this sofa was that it is more upright. We are in our 40's and have aging family and a low/deep style of sofa just wasn't working for us anymore. It's easy to get in and out of and is suitable for a range of body types. I like the firmness of the cushions - you can get comfy but you are not sinking into a cushion abyss. The price was fantastic and the removable covers are a massive plus!

Not the same as what’s on floor ZainabTotally different from the same couch on show room floor. Way deeper. What you see on show room floor and what you receive are not the same. It’s way deeper. Leaning back too far. Probably going to return it after a week.
Beautiful but uncomfortable ShawnI love the look of these sofas! I bought 2 for the living room of our new home.
Unfortunately the seat cushions are very hard and I had hoped that they would soften up with time but they have not. The sofa sits high off of the ground as well.
I think they are fine for sitting on occasionally when guests visit but not suitable for getting cozy and watching a movie with the family.
I was a bit disappointed.
Chemical odour KurteeI bought this sofa from IKEA about three months ago. The sofa itself is fairly comfortable to sit on, but there is a rather concerning issue – it has been giving off a chemical smell. The smell is similar to that of new clothes that haven’t been washed yet. At first, I thought it would dissipate quickly, but even after three months, it’s still there and remains very strong. Now I can’t return it, and I don’t know what to do. It’s not just the unpleasant smell but I’m worried it might be harmful to health.
Designed for 6 ft and over, Ektorp was betterMasoomaThis sofa is a very poor substitute for Ektorp. It’s too big and deep, Ektorp was the perfect size and was so comfortable. This seat depth of this sofa needs you to spend more money on cushions to reduce the depth to a comfortable size. I’m a petite person and it actually gave me back pain.
Doesn’t hold up ValerieBought an Uppland and it just doesn’t hold up . We continue to have back aches when sitting on this couch . I avoid it altogether because I know my back is going to hurt after 20 mins . Just doesn’t have the components to be a couch that you can count on for very long . Very disappointed as it looks nice but can’t even use it .

UPPLAND BrendaLove the comfort of this sofa we still have our ektorp in our family for now I’m it’s 22 second year and it’s worn so well kids and all . However we will be replacing it soon with another upland
