What is IKEA's return policy?

IKEA believes everyone should be able to test a product! If you've changed your mind about a product, IKEA takes back unpacked and used products within 90 days, and unopened products within 365 days - this applies to purchases made in-store, by phone, or online.

Before returning your item, please make sure:

  • You have your proof of purchase
  • The product doesn't have any obvious signs of damage, stains or marks
  • The product hasn't been modified (e.g. drill holes, paint, etc.)
  • The product isn't part of the list of items excluded from the IKEA return policy*

Refunds will be completed to the original method of payment.

IKEA reserves the right to refuse the return or exchange of a product or offer a refund card only. Refer to the IKEA refund policy for full terms and conditions regarding IKEA returns.

*Please note, custom-cut fabrics and custom countertops, as well as products that have been heavily used, soiled, stained, damaged and/or modified are excluded from the IKEA return policy.
