What is IKEA's return policy?
Check return time limits and pre-register your return online before visiting a store.
- New and unopened products: Return within 365 days of purchase with proof of purchase.
- Opened products: Return within 90 days with proof of purchase. This includes assembled products if they’re unused and in resaleable condition.
- Products with some traces of use: They may be refunded on an IKEA refund card. IKEA assesses the product’s condition when you return it.
- Items that can’t be returned: Custom-cut fabrics and custom countertops, as well as products that are heavily used, dirty, stained, damaged or modified, are excluded from the return policy.
To save time at the store, pre-register your return with Express Returns. You’ll receive a QR code to show at the returns desk. The code is valid for 14 days. Bring your product and proof of purchase.
